"Elyana?"
Ely shifted her gaze from Kelly to the owner of the familiar voice who called her.
"Jodi!" She was surprised when she realized that the elevator stopped on her friend's floor. And now, Jodi was looking at her like she came from another planet with a baby alien in her arms.
What should she do? She couldn't possibly put Kelly in her pocket to hide.
"It's really you!" They hadn't seen each other in two months but Ely was sure her appearance didn't change. So of course, Jodi would recognize her. But why did she feel like her friend was referring to something else?
"Y-yeah? How are you? I'm sorry, I got so busy with other stuff. I totally forgot to call you," she said, hoping she would not ask about Kelly.
But alas, Jodi's eyes were on her daughter who was also looking at her
