Chapter Eight

Cat "Great...Party at my place guys," Chiki said and earned laughter around the table. "Are you joking?" Simon said, "Not really, she's a self-sophisticated drama queen and now she has decided to get someone better," He looked at me, "You smell that cat?" "What?" I couldn't smell anything, "The smell of singletons," He took a deep breath, "The smell of freedom," Max burst out laughing and Simon, standing next to him, hit him on the head, "You dickward," Max roared and hit his waist. "I hate you so much," Simon said and Chiki playfully opened his mouth and stuck out his tongue while making a funny face, I couldn't hold it, I burst out laughing and covered my face by leaning on the table. I looked up, Chiki was staring at me while laughing, Simon cussed and walked away angrily not realizing that Chiki was playfully waving at him and throwing him a mid-finger during intervals leaving Ash, Max and I laughing like crazy. Class was extremely boring, I hated when there was a substitute for Literature, it was my favorite class because of our real teacher, I yawned a couple of times, kept on staring at Chiki for a while, my mind was racing, did he know that he kissed me? It meant a lot, I felt something that wasn't anger for the first time with someone. I smiled when I noticed he was looking at me then I looked at the board. "Hey, let's go," Chiki tapped my shoulder, I woke up, "Did I fall asleep?" I asked it rhetorically, "Yeah, I even finished my homework," Chiki said as he started walking away, I followed him some seconds later into the hallway. "Hey..." I was going to ask it, "So last night..." "Last night?" Chiki caressed his shoulder, "You mean with your..." "No, after you got high, do you remember anything?" "Umm, I got out with you and..." I was sure he would remember, nobody kisses that good and not remember, "Nope, I might have blacked out," He muttered as he took out his phone and started texting someone. "Oh and... You coming to Nate's party?" He asked after a long silence. "I didn't get an invite," Nate had no idea who I was, he was one of the coolest kids in school, they lived near Chiki's place, it was on the upper side where the richest people usually lived, Chiki was middle class and thus lived at the mid estate, Casa, was basically what we called that place due to Casa Romanza's influence on people there, the upper estate was Hale, simple because rich people love shortening names. Our estate was Clavhill, I guess that's why Nate would never invite someone like me, he doesn't associate with us, which was no problem though because I don't want to associate with an asshole like him. I got a notification on my phone, "You have been invited to the February Fling party at Nate's place down Hale Estate," "Umm, how'd you," I paused while smiling, "I invited you," "How?" "Well, if you have been invited, you can bring a plus one," He said as he hit the faculty door next to him, someone screamed and we stopped, "I am curious," He whispered as he opened the door, Max and Rami were having s*x, they looked at each other in suspense then looked away, I was too surprised to say anything, Chiki closed the door and walked away then I followed him. "I now believe him, I probably will for the rest of my life," Chiki said as he opened the door and waited for me to walk outside before following me. "Hey, can I invite Max and Ash?" "They had been invited," Chiki said as he searched something up on his phone and showed me the invitation card, Max and Ash were top five invited people, "How?" "Ash is kind of Nate's best friend," "Uh what?" I literally had no idea what he was talking about. "Promise to keep a secret?" Chiki whispered as he raised his pinky, "Okay," I promised him. "Ash dated Nate the whole of last summer, they broke up because it was secret and Nate already had a girlfriend, now they just hook up once in a while and that's it, they go their ways," He finished, I can't believe it, how much did I really miss here when I was in the Rehab? I possibly missed another huge thing and was never told about, I couldn't believe Ash didn't tell me, but I couldn't blame him, he never talks and when I came back and asked what happened, he wasn't there. "Max?" I inquired how he got invited, "Max hooked Nate with Ash secretly," "What?" I might have even missed a teacher student relationship by now, "Yeah, he had been hosting this new Casa Unificado, a secret romance in which one would write who he liked and what he liked about him, Max himself wrote for Ash because they apparently had chemistry and thought he might give them a little fun," "Oh, I missed a lot," I muttered as I walked down the lane, Chiki stopped, "See you at eight," He said as he was now walking down his lane. I waved at him and headed home. Mickey was reading a newspaper... A newspaper, was he looking at the obituaries for me? That was a pretty great reason as to him reading a newspaper, the house was clean and my mother was cooking, "I made lunch," Mom said, it was five o'clock and well, come to think of it, people still eat lunch at that time, "I'm not really hungry," I muttered as I headed upstairs, "Good evening?" Mickey looked up from his newspaper, I didn't hear that correct, did he just greet me? "Evening," I muttered and headed upstairs, my room was clean, smelling like apples and lavender, my bed was arranged and so was my closet, not that it was dirty, maybe it was a little, Was I going to be killed? Yes that explains, they will kill me and pretend they were a great family who would never murder anyone. I headed downstairs after changing, "Hey can I go to a party at my friend's?" Nate my friend, that's where I'm at? "Yes honey, but first eat lunch with me and your father," "What?" I said as dropped the carrot, "Sorry," Mum whispered. "Me too," Mickey said and I looked at him. "I'm sorry for everything."
