Chapter Nine

Cat

"Why is he apologizing mom?" I asked when I picked up an apple from the bowl in the middle of the counter. 

"It's because I realized that I shouldn't do that," He said as he softened his face.

"Okay," I said as I took a plate of noodles and meatballs that mom had prepared and headed upstairs to eat while doing some work that b***h of a substitute gave us.

Eight o'clock arrived faster than I thought, in fact, it was eight twenty when I checked my phone, I walked to the closet looking for a jumper when I remembered I still had Chiki's hoodie, I searched for it all over but couldn't find it.

"Mom, have you seen a white hoodie somewhere?" I asked as I headed downstairs, Mickey was nowhere in sight and my mother was snorting coke, she looked up pressed her nose then pointed the laundry basket with clean clothes.

I nodded and headed there then found it in the pile, I wore it, headed upstairs to check myself out and then grabbed my phone then left.

I had no idea where to go when I arrived at the party, from outside, the house fountain at the entrance was glowing in multiple colors, the roses at their garden were tilted mostly because people must have peed there.

Boys, a lot of boys were outside smoking, on the walls, at the dark corners girls were busy being touched and kissed by boys, I saw Nate from outside with his girlfriend making out like crazy, I looked closely and he was even fingering her! I can't believe an asshole like him dated Ash.

He might have noticed that I was staring at him, he looked over at me, I looked away and walked inside.

Billie Eilish was playing, a bunch of people break dancing to Bury a Friend. I walked to the kitchen because I really had no idea where else to go that didn't have people dancing like they were possessed,

I took a clean cup from the cabinet and poured myself some water, I sat at the counter, crossing my legs and taking some water during intervals, I looked around and saw Max, he was also at the 'dance floor'

I waved at him when he looked over then came to where I was.

"Why aren't you dancing?" He asked loudly due to the high intensity of the music,

"I don't wanna" I replied loudly myself, I couldn't hear what I was saying for a second.

"Chiki's upstairs by the way," He said as he went on dancing

"Okay," I replied and drank some more water

"I'm off dancing, bye!" He waved as he walked back to the living room and went on dancing and headed to the living room

The room was stinking of cheap vodka and hand rolled cigarettes, funny, I knew the smell of cigarettes and joints that were cheaply made, I usually did that, once, I kept m*******a and some twigs just to fill a joint, I wondered why I remembered that, I shook my head and walked around to avoid drinking or smoking, I decided to go upstairs in a quest to find Chiki.

Two boys were busy giving each other hand jobs at the corner upstairs, the halls were dark, it looked like Nate must have denied people lighting up here.

I saw some girls giggling at something and looking at some people.

"Hey," One of them called out, I assumed it was someone else they were calling

"Cat!" She called out clearly, I stopped and looked over at them.

"Come here," She called, when I walked over, it was Chloe,

"What's up Chloe?" I said, to be honest, I was actually scared as to what she called me over for, the place was dark and they were in a corner with a bunch of other girls, she was holding a joint and so were most of her friends.

I looked around while waiting for what she wanted to say.

"Hey, so Angie here dared me to kiss you," She said confidently, that God it was dark because my face was basically red due to the way I was blushing, I was sure as hell I looked like the devil himself,

"No thanks," I muttered while turning around,

"It's not a favor, you either kiss me or well, I don't know the consequences but Zahra can surely give out one bitchy favor for us to do," She came close to me and I moved away.

"I can walk all the way with you and still end up kissing you," She said when I reached the other side of the wall and couldn't move further, she put her hands on the wall and came close to me, she smelled of Vodka and w**d, She bit her lip and came to me, our lips linking, I for real felt uncomfortable.

She then kissed me, gliding her tongue down my mouth, she tasted of mint, I decided to kiss her back, why not? Soon enough, she left me and waved bye as she walked away.

That little drama got me mad a bit and I hurried up looking for Chiki, I entered the first room that was at the corner, glittering eyes shot up at me, it was my History class desk mate and what I believe was her boyfriend, maybe she had decided to break her virginity at 16, no problem though.

"Sorry," I muttered as I closed the door, I then leaned on it for a second, took a deep breath and walked to the other room.

It was dark,

"Chic?" I said as I waited for an answer but no one replied. It was a surprise though, an empty room, that was weird, at a party, that was weird because the amount of people at this party, it was hard to get a room that no one is banging the brains out of each other.

I walked out and headed to the furthest room, the last one, I was sure to go check the ones over at the right side, I opened the door and say Chiki, except he was under a girl and they were having s*x, the girl was moaning but Chiki was staring at me.
