Chapter Five: New Plan

Growing up, Linus learned to mind his own business.  He learned to ignore people and happenings around him.  He became an expert at ignoring violence around him.  For him, helping and not minding his own business will only get you nowhere.  Pity and sympathy?  There is no place for those feelings in this world.  It's either you're one of the strong or the weak.  It's either you defend yourself or let people trample all over you and beat you to death.

 Because he grew up toughening himself up.  He grew up pushing himself too hard.  He grew up knowing that you can only rely on your own abilities and capabilities.

 When he became Abe's bodyguard, he already told himself that he'll be just a spectator.  He will not act until he's on the verge of death.  He will let the wimpy heir to learn and experience what life has to offer him.  What he needs to put up with in order to succeed in life.

 But dammit, when he saw how that one jock landed a punch on that face he deemed beautiful?  He just f ****** lost it.

 Before Linus knew it, his fist was landing on the first jock's face and body.  His mind memorized where their filthy hands and feet landed on the Giant Baby.  Yep, maybe that's what he will call Abe from now on.  When he's done imprinting his mind on their sorry faces and bodies, Linus blew on his now messy hair before glaring at them.

 "Scram."

 With that, the three scrambled and struggled to stand up before they all glared back with a promise to get back at Linus, but Linus only bared his teeth at them and they all ran with their tails between their legs.  He snorted before picking up Abe's things and just threw them in his bag before throwing it to the dumbfounded baby.

 "T-Thank you."  Abe stuttered and Linus' frown deepened.

 From the wall he's currently leaning on, Linus trapped him with his arms, his hands slamming on either side of his head to the wall.  "You are taller than them. You are the heir of a powerful family. Why would you let them beat you?"  Linus asked coldly and slowly.

 Abe's bright blue eyes blinked innocently while staring at them.  Up close, Linus can see tiny freckles around his cheeks, making him look more innocent in his eyes.  And f*** his lips, his lips, his juicy red lips that he's currently biting that are just begging to be kissed.  But while he wanted to just yank the man and devour him somewhere, Linus also wants to beat the sh** out of him himself.

 "Because I'm weaker. Because I am nothing without that name."  Abe muttered in response.  His eyes pulling away from their staring game and Linus is a little disappointed.

 Linus' nose flared in annoyance.  "And you will just let them do that to you? Will you live your life like this? Will you let them scare you?"

 To his surprise, Abe turned his now watery eyes back to him.  "You don't know anything, okay? So please don't judge me."  he tried to push him away, but Linus didn't even budge.  "Please let me go."

 "Yeah? But I know one thing for sure. You are nothing but a big baby. And you will die early by the hands of your Father's enemy if you do not learn how to fight for yourself."  he hissed inches away from his face before he pulled away.  "Weak ones die fast. Strong ones live longer."

 "Maybe it'll be better that way."  he heard Abe whisper and he gripped his shirt to stop him from walking away.

 "I won't let that happen. Because I will train you to be a better version of yourself and you will have no say."

 The Giant Baby pouted a little and Linus rolled his eyes in exasperation.  His eyes turned to the students around them and gave them a glare for them to mind their business.

 "Mr. Savage and Mr. Levisay, please come to my office. Thank you." he heard a lady announce.

 "Why would I when I don't even know you?"  he asked out loud and heard a small chuckle behind him.

 "That is Mrs. Hemmingway, the Principal."  Abe informed him and Linus only grumbled in response.

 Great.  First day of School and he's already visiting the Principal.  This is why a delinquent like him and a School just don't mix.  It will create chaos.  The school will teach you to follow the rules and Linus is never one to follow them.

 He motioned for Abe to lead the way and the latter timidly walk his way to hell.  Eyes followed them, some are judging him while some admires him, but Linus couldn't care less.  The ones he beat could be the President's son and he will still not give a flying sh**.  He's already some bastard's puppet, he won't allow any other silver spoon-fed jocks to belittle him.

 When they reached the rather fancy-looking red door that appears to be the Principal's office, Abe entered and he followed.  They were greeted by the sight of whom he presumed to be the Secretary.  The forty-ish woman did not appear to be surprised by the sight of Abe, like she's used to seeing him here.  Like she's had enough of seeing him here and it irked Linus.  He has a feeling that he won't like this meeting.

 "You know the drill now, Mr. Levisay. Go on. She's waiting inside."  the woman stated boredly and Abe went inside without a word while Linus stayed to stare the woman down until she went back to her papers.

 Linus followed after Abe and opened the black double door.  He kind of expected a chubby woman with thick eye glasses like in the movies, but what he saw surprised him a bit.  He saw a woman with a huge resemblance with the whiny Mistress.  And when his eyes slid down to the nameplate, he couldn't help but snort in amusement and ridiculousness.  Because in that piece of glass is a proof that the bimbo in front of him is in fact related to Lola.

 "Hello, new student. I am Mrs. Diane Benneth-Hemmingway, the Principal of Western University."

 "Yeah, that's kinda obvious."  Linus answered sarcastically before sitting down the two chairs in front of her table.

 Linus will bet his whole left hand that the woman did not get the job because of her credentials or anything.  It appears to him that the 'Principal' cares about nothing but her long-ass nails that can poke herself in the eye.

 "Abe, honey, I'm sorry to say, but I'm just disappointed in you. How long have you gotten yourself in trouble? Honey, just because your Father is the major shareholder of this School does not mean I will always let this  slide."  the equally annoying voice as Lola said in a fake sweet tone.

 Linus pursed his lips and glanced at Abe to see him taking an interest at his shoes.  And it made Linus wonder just how many times he heard those words?  And how many times he just looked at his shoes and accepted her words?

 "Frankly speaking, you are dirtying your Father's reputation and family."

 Linus has heard enough.  He slammed his hand on top of the table before laughing and massaging his forehead with his right hand.  "Lady, are your eyes seeing fine or is it blocked by your fake eyelashes that probably weigh much more than your tiny little brain? Are your ears hearing fine or are they damaged by that heavy earring you're wearing so proudly?"

 Diane gasped dramatically and covered her mouth.  "H-How dare a new student say things like th-- that!"

 "Why? Does it hurt your pride that a new student like me is seeing things a Principal like you failed to see? Have you not seen how he's the one being beaten by those assh****? Have you not heard their derogatory words  to one of your students?"  he angrily asked the woman a series of questions and felt a bump on his foot.

 He turned to Abe to see him pleading with him with his eyes and shaking his head softly, but Linus ignored him and focused his eyes on the woman in front of him.

 The woman stood and pointed her manicured finger at them.  "10 laps for each of you! Right now and if I haven't seen you there in ten minutes, I will double it! I've heard enough of your rudeness and I'll be sure to report this to Mr. Levisay.  "

 Linus opened his mouth to make a smart-ass comeback again, but Abe stepped on his foot this time, making him glare at him.

 "Yes, Mrs. Hemmingway. I'm sorry about him."

 "Be thankful that I'm nice enough to not expel him!"

 Linus clenched his fist and was about to respond, but Abe started pulling on his arm.  "Please, let's go. Please."  he begged him and with his jaw clenched tight, Linus glared at the woman before being stormed outside in anger.

 When he heard Abe's soft footsteps, he whirled around to face him.  "Is it always like this? Do you let everyone around you take advantage of you?"

 Abe turned away before shrugging his shoulder.  "Let's go before she gets even more angry."  Abe told him, ignoring his questions.

 Linus calmed himself down before following after him, still slightly fuming at the unfairness he just witnessed.  Damn, he thought being the Heir, Abe has it all easy and he will just sit back and wait for his turn to lead his family's business.  He thought the Giant Baby is living the life everyone would be jealous of.  Oh was he wrong.  Abe's life is nothing close to what he thought it was.

 When they reached the gigantic oval, Linus stopped in his tracks.  His eyes found Abe once again and wondered just how many 'ten laps' he's done before for accepting beatings.  When he set his bag down to prepare for a run, Linus stepped closer to him and gently pushed him down the stone bench.

 "Stay there. I was the one who beat them so I will run."

 Abe's eyes widened at what he said.  "You'll run twenty times? Are you insane?"

 Linus snorted before he threw his bag to him and Abe barely caught it.  He started to stretch his limbs in order to not feel sore later.

 "This is nothing, but after this, you will have to do more like this. You will run more laps with me. Got it?"

 Abe only nodded in answer, his black bag still in his clutch.  Linus smirked before he started running.  The familiar feel of his limbs stretching and finally getting into action is enough to cool his head down.  He always loved exercising.  His body always craved that feeling of near exhaustion.

 After this, he will make sure that Abe will train as twice as hard as he does.  He will make sure that he will learn the basics of defending himself before this week ends.  He will make sure that once he's done with Abe, he will be able to fight those bullies and finally man up.

 Linus looked up at the sky and squinted his eyes and he found himself smiling at his plan.  Maybe he cannot beat Lucas by himself, but he can use his son to beat him one day.  He will use Abe to destroy his Father.

 And just like that, Linus shouted in joy at his new plan.
