Omar was sitting inside the ship, observing everything around him, when his eyes fell upon a coast guard communication device—the same device they had seized after killing its owners when they first arrived at the island.
He rose from his seat, picked up the device, and tried to turn it on, only to discover it wouldn’t operate unless connected to a power source.
He placed it on the ship’s battery and sat waiting.
Mohammed entered the ship and sat beside Omar.
Mohammed:
“How long will it take for the Houthis to return to the island?”
Omar:
“Abu Malik said ten days.”
Mohammed:
“Ten days is far too long… we must hurry before we are discovered.”
Omar:
“No one can reach this part of the island.”
