CHAPTER ONE.
GEORGIA POV.
Georgia never wished for her life to be this miserable, but ever since the transformation event on the first full moon of the year her life took a deep turn. The first full moon was the day to be assigned a rank in the pack. Coming from a very prestigious family that had been known to birth Alphas, everyone had expected her to be the same.
The Ragnork family for over the past century have been known to birth Alphas. Georgia and her twin whom she was an hour older than was not expected to be less. But to everyone's surprise and the astonishment of the family, Georgia was not able to transform. She wasn't even close to being an Omega which is the lowest rank in the pack aside the ‘’commonly born ''.
The ‘commonly born ’ are wolves in the pack who are born with wolf blood but do not have the ability to transform. Georgia was not surprised when her sister Juliette transformed into a gray wolf. Her furs are as luscious and soft as silk. Her eyes are piercing green. Everything about her has always been perfect. She transformed into the highest ranking Alphas.
Juliette has always gotten the best of the family blood. From our mother's beauty to our fathers strength and speed. Even before we turned 14, she could perceive a scent from a hundred miles. She had the speed of a hyena and the strength of a bear. I wasn't surprised when she turned out to be our fathers favorite and was worshiped by our peers.
Juliette has vowed to disgrace me at any opportunity she gets.
Drifting back to reality with goosebumps all over my body from just thinking about that day. It has been two years but that day is still fresh in my memory.
Hey! Cat!, meow. A name my sister and her friends call me. They felt I was too weak to be a wolf. I sighed knowing that voice very well, I know my sister Juliette and her friends are at it again.
Juliette is the example of a perfect human being. From her piercing green eyes, to her curvy slender body. Her glassy blonde hair running down her shoulders. She got her beauty from our mom. But her strength from our father. Sometimes I doubt we are sisters.
Catch! Juliette's voice was tiny and melodious, One could hardly believe that someone with such a voice could be this mean. As I turned, a rat fell on my face. Ooh! I gasped Juliette and her friends let out a loud and wicked laugh. Juliette in her tiny voice said to me mockingly. We went hunting,so I decided to bring back a treat for you. I know you are too weak to hunt your own food. Juliette and her friends let out a loud laugh again. ‘Poor cat.’ Zane, Juliette's best friend and trusted ally or more like partners in making my life miserable said as she leaned in and stroked my hair.
I was so ashamed. I wanted to fight back but instead I felt a hot tear roll down my cheek. I could feel everyone's eyes on me. I wanted to run out but I couldn't feel my legs. At that moment all I wanted was for the ground to open and swallow me. I bent my head in shame as tears were rolling down my cheek uncontrollably. I could from the corner of my eyes see the evil grin on Juliette's face. I could feel her satisfaction. She achieved her aim, she always does.
Still not satisfied, I guess. Zane pulled my hair and dragged me to the ground. Juliette opened her water bottle and was about to empty the content on me when we heard a thunderous voice from the back.
That's enough!.
Stop!. Everyone looked back. That's enough. Adrian commanded. Adrian walked towards us. As he approached us, everyone made way for him in the pathway. All I could see was his muscles. His curly short hair, even though it was messy, looked perfect on his oval face. His brown eyes were as bright as the sun. I forgot I was on the ground as I was mesmerized by his aura . He was the only one among our peers that Juliette had ever feared. I couldn't tell if it was fear or admiration. He stretched his hand and pulled me up. His palm was soft. I wanted to hold onto them forever.
He turned to my sister and her gang. Without saying a word, Juliette and her friends sluggishly went away. Juliette glanced at me. I could tell by looking at her face, it meant it was not over.
“Are you okay?" Adrian asked, his voice deep and soothing.
I nodded, unable to form any words.
"Good," he said, giving me a reassuring pat on the back. "Let's go.
As we walked away, I couldn't help but steal glances at Adrian. He was like a god among mortals, commanding respect and admiration wherever he went. And in that moment, I knew that I would follow him anywhere.
Adrian was always the mysterious guy in school. He doesn't talk much and he has no friends.People often whispered about him, wondering what secrets he might be hiding. Some said he was a troubled soul, others thought he was just weird. Some said his family are blood thirsty, hence, the fear by other wolves. But no one really knew the truth about Adrian.
As we walked a reasonable distance, he turned to me. I'm stopping here. stated Adrian. Moving in the direction of the speed class.
