walking around the city is so beautiful the atmosphere is so different from my old pack, happy people going about there day smiling and laughing. I hope we can stay here cause I don't know where we would go and that thought alone scares me, the skyscrapers going as high as the clouds are all around me. the city has two parts to it, the skyscraper part and then there is the forest. Continuing behind the woman from before me and Scarlett admire the city until we are told to go into a lobby of one of the big skyscrapers. 

"We are going to see the acting beta, he will talk to you," the woman says and I realise I don't know her name 

"whats your name," I ask "Lucy," she says with a smile "I'm Avani and this is Scarlett, thank you for helping us," I say sincerely "no problem kid, we have to go up now," she says and walks to the elevator. we make it up to the second top floor, walking out I notice a girl sitting a desk "hi how can I help you" she says professionally "we are here to see Taylor he knows we were coming"  Lucy says confidently "of course, right this way" she says and walks into a room on the left "sir, Lucy is here to see you" the girl says and walks away.

Lucy walks right in and explains who we are to the guy named Taylor, she tells us to come in so we do, "hi sir, my name is Avani and this is my sister Scarlett" I say with a smile, he looks between us and nods "take a seat, thanks Lucy" Taylor says and Lucy leaves the room, "let me formally introduce myself my name is Taylor and I'm the previous beta of moonlight pack" he says then continues "so I've been told that you want to live on a land" he asks with nod "thats right, me and my sister have moved from our old residence and have always loved the big city" I say looking at him "well I can't give you a yes or no just yet as I am only the acting beta while the alpha and beta are on a work trip, but I have been given word that you may stay until they arrive back which will be in a few days and then that decision can be made, but for now you are able to stay in one of the hotels until that date" he says finishing, "thankyou so so much" Scarlett says, "this means the world to us", "Lucy will show you to were you will be staying, have goodnight ladies" he says. 

after Lucy shows us the hotel we were staying in which was very fancy, she left us to our selves. "wow, I can't believe we actually did that so easily, I think this is the moon goddess giving us a chance to live again" Scarlett says happily "yeah I'm actually kinda surprised this was so easy, I guess we will use have to wait a couple of days until the alpha and beta give us the answer to all our prayers" I say lying back in the bed, "its really late let's go to sleep" Scarlett says.

2 days later 

it has been the best 2 days of our lives we actually got to see the city more, but I had this thought that something bad was going to happen and my wolf has been on edge since we came here but I just shake that thought from my mind as there is knock on the door. I go to answer the door "wonder who that is" Scarlett yells from the bed, opening the door I see Lucy standing there "hi Lucy, what's up" I ask "the alpha is home" she says, my eyes widen and I'm lost for words, this is it time to find out if we can stay "he wants to see you asap" she says "which means now" I nod my head "of course, Scarlett lets go".

we arrive at another skyscraper half an hour later, it has the words moon corp written on it, my heart started to race and I feel like I'm sweating, I take a deep breath and walk through the doors. we go to the top floor and I feel my wolf start pacing in my head, 'lilac what's wrong' I ask but she just winters in return, the elevator stops and we walk into a big room with a desk like where we were yesterday but bigger, suddenly we hear a massive growl from the right hallway and a loud bang "what was that" Scarlett whispers "come" says Lucy, we go down the hallway to the right and soon enough we are outside a big door "you will see the boss now, good luck" Lucy says she knocks then walks away. I hear footsteps and suddenly the door is opened by a handsome looking man, I feel Scarlett completely tighten next to me and she begins to shake, 

'Scarlett what's wrong' I say through our mind link

"mate," the guy says, I gasp and look at Scarlett and see her blush

 'omg Scarlett say something' I say through the mind link 

"mate," she says so soft ad low if I was not a werewolf I would've of heard it 

then I hear intimidating footsteps approaching and we all snap our heads to the left of the room and my wolf says the world I didn't want to hear 'mate mate mate mate' I feel like crying, I turn on my heels and start running for the elevator I hear someone running behind me and then I feel it, the sparks that erupt in my arm I stop running but I don't dare turn around, I feel a dark and scary aura around him but I somehow feel at peace  with his hand on mine 

"mate" I hear a deep voice say, I don't say a word 'say something human' lilac says in my head, I slowly turn around and am met with the deepest blue eyes I've ever seen "hi," I say quietly, I see him frown 

"Why did you run from me," he says, I gulp 

"I don't know," I say softly looking down letting my back hair cover my face like a curtain, he softly lifts my chin to make me look at him 

"what's your name?"  he asked 

"Avani" I answer 

"Avani" he repeated 

"my name is Christian"

"it's nice to meet you," I say with a small smile "but I have to go," I say too quickly and before he can even answer I'm already going down in the elevator 

'Scarlett I don't know what you are doing, but I left I'll be at the hotel room come when you're ready'

'okay av, I hope you okay love you'

'I'm fine, love you too'

as I'm rushing back to the apartment I hear a ferocious growl that sends shivers down my spine, that doesn't sound too good I think to myself.
