Anna left the design department after checking the final collection. They had a brief meeting and made some slight revisions. They have to work it out until tomorrow so they can forward the designs to the production unit. Good thing the original designs were approved so the production unit finished it already and are about to deliver it anytime today.
On her way to her office, Anna came across Marie. But seing her, Marie was a little aloof.
"Hey, what's wrong? Are you okay? You seem pale." She looked at the direction where Marie came from.
"Did he scold you?" she is referring to Mr. Daniels.
"No. No. No... I'm just having a... stomach flu or something. Excuse me." Marie rushed to the ladies room.
"Hey, you can go to the hospital. It looks bad.." she said worriedly.
The original collection Summer arrived past five in the afternoon. Marie asked the delivery guys to put it in the storage room. She will iron and hang it in the display room later. She won't bother the designers to do it since they are on their final revisions.
7pm. All cubicle lights were off. But Anna's office lights were on.
Jack wondered if Anna is still working on her collection. He knocked on the door but nothing. He opened the door. The office is small, with a table in the middle. There are plants in every corner. There are flowers in the vase at the top of the table. Sunflower and carnations. He knew these flowers as these were his mom's favorite along with orchids.
He noticed the picture frame. He got it and looked at the cute little boy smiling in the picture. So this is her son, Lorenzo...
"Hello, Anna..?" Matthew called.
Anna is nowhere to be seen. He left Anna's office and look around. He noticed the display area and storage room lights, from across the hall, were on.
Inside the storage room, Anna just finished ironing the dresses. She was about to transfer it to the display area when Matthew arrived.
"Hello? Anybody..." Matthew called.
Startled, Anna screamed.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you, Anna... I just wondered the lights were still on." Matthew explained.
Anna noticed Mr. Daniels called her by her name not the usual Ms. Miranda.
"Are those the first batch of the Summer Collection?" he asked.
"Yes, Mr. Daniels." she said nervously. She's not a teenager but she can't help feel nervous around her boss. Maybe because of the unpleasant incidents they were in previously.
"Not going home yet?" he asked.
"No, Sir. I have to transfer these clothes at the display area." she said not looking at him.
"I can be of help, Anna. Let me help you so we can all go home early." he said while eagerly looking at Anna, waiting for her to look at him in the eyes.
And she did. "...." she was about to say something but she can't find a word. She just look at him only to find herself looking at the same familiarity she found the other day.
