Chapter Twenty Four- Vampires

It was the last week of school and was a whirlwind of final exams, planning and training. Dad didn't go back to Hell although he was going back and forth as he always had. And whenever he was top side he stayed at the house in his office going over plans. He was Lucifer and at one point God's favorite son. Which made him a warrior at the time, and even now he was a warrior. He never gave that up, he even still has his Angel blade tucked safely away until he needed it again.  Me? Well I've been training and researching where the local vampire hive was. It took me a few days but I finally found it. Asmodeus and I are going to check it out once exams are over. Which couldn't go fast enough.  I rushed through my exam, already knowing the answers. I was the first one done which means I was the first to leave. I rushed out the door, running the entire way home to meet Asmodeus. I could protect myself from the vampires but all three of my mates and my father insisted I take him. I didn't want to argue with all of them so I had agreed. Unwillingly I might add.  "Asmodeus!" I shouted as I rushed into the house, slamming the door behind me.  "I'm here, my queen." Asmodeus purred as he appeared in front of me. I will never get used to all his forms. He has his spirit form, which nobody could see. He had his smoke form, which apparently only I could see. Then he had his physical form, which everyone could see and was magnificent.  "Are you ready to go?" I asked.  He nodded and walked to me, snaking his arm around my waist. We decided to use my shadows to take us there. Dad said I needed to practice using them since they were so new to me. He said to see is if I could transport other people with me when I used them. And I had. I had successfully transported myself and all my mates from my home to the pack lands, which was a good 20 minute drive. It took us only seconds with my shadows.  I smiled up at Asmodeus and held him tightly as I called my shadows to me. They happily encased us in darkness, ready and willing for my next command. When I mentally commanded them where I wanted to go, we were off. Slipping through the shadow world like we owned it. Other beings lived here, and all of them welcomed me. Some revered me as their queen. What I haven't shared with anyone is that I visited the shadow world often, conversing with the shadows within. They had agreed to fight with me when or if the time came.  What kind of creatures live in the shadow world you ask. Well there were reapers, shadow dragons, banshees, wraiths, darklings and shades. There are more, but these creatures are dangerous and all of them desperate for revenge on the Angels.  Once we arrived at the location, I was in awe. The building that once served as a catholic cathedral. Now it serves as a vampire den. The stained glass depicted Angels and demons in battle, others showed vampires standing in the sunlight avenging the curse the Angels placed on them. The magnificent gray stone that made up the building looked as if it were decaying. It let off a lonely and haunting atmosphere. a thick fog seemed to encase the building as if it were a shield.  Taking a deep breath I walked to the door, banging the large knocker that was a dragon's head with rings hanging out of its mouth. After waiting a few minutes, I knocked again. The door opened a fraction, as if whoever was on the other side were a threat. Not many people could be a threat to vampires, though their weariness only served to motivate me.   The vampire opened the door wide eyes as he stared at me. "Who are you?" He asked.  I stepped up to him holding out my hand. "I am Ariel. And I come with an offer. May I speak with you clan leader?" The vampire shook my hand hesitantly.  "I am Damien. Second in command to our leader Silas." I looked the vampire over. He was as pale as the mood, lean but muscular, his eyes were a vibrant shade of red and his dark hair was shaved down in a military cut. He wore dark jeans and a black shirt.  "Hello Damien, will Silas see us?" I asked. He looked at me then over at Asmodeus and his eyes widened. "A demon? Silas won't be happy a demon is here."  I smiled "He is my mate, and here to negotiate alongside me. Believe me, your leader will want to hear what we have to say." Damien looked at me unsure but nodded his head. He stepped aside letting us in.  Once the door closed I brought my shadows back into myself and smiled as they caressed me. The inside of the building was dark. Heavy scarlet drapes hung on all the windows. Red and black rugs adorned the white marble floors. Numerous paintings decorated the walls, as torches dimly lite the vast room giving off an eerie ambiance.  Clearly uncomfortable Asmodeus made his way over to me and held me close to his body as we waited for Damien to return with Silas. I don't know why he was worried, we could handle anything they threw at us. Hell all I had to do was flick my finger and all the drapes would fall saturating them all in sunlight.  "Who dare come to my clan without an invitation?" A voice boomed, echoing around us. Asmodeus's body tensed but I just smirked.  "Show yourself Silas and you'll find out." I taunted. Quick as lightning a blonde haired vampire stood in front of us. His eyes blazed red, his nostrils flared. He pulled his lips back snarling and flashing his fangs.  I stepped away from Asmodeus allowing my black wings to come out and my eyes glow golden. Showing the vampire who the dominant one was. Silas flinched back, retracting his fangs as his face grew calm. "See. that wasn't so hard was it?" I teased. "I come with an offer. The Angels want to take my father. They are currently hunting me although they don't know it is me they seek. Myself, my mates and my father plan to wage war against the Angels should they attempt to capture me or my father." I stated calmly. A wide smile spread across Silas's face. "War with the Angels? We have waited many life times to avenge the dreaded curse they placed on us." Silas seethed.  "That is why I came to you. This would be your chance. I plan to give the Fae the same offer once I find the portal to their world. This would be a deadly battle, with many casualties should it come to pass. Think hard, know where your loyalties lie. I can grant a few the ability to walk in the daylight but only if you and your clan agree to fight alongside me."  Silas's eyes went wide, envy flashing in his eyes. "I offer mine and my clans services to you. I would have even if you didn't offer to make some of us day walkers. Revenge on the Angels has been something my entire species has dreamed of. I will contact other clans around us and request they send their strongest here to assist in the battle. If you can give each clan leader and their warriors the ability to walk in the sun we will forever be in your debt and in service to you until death." He bowed his head slightly then looked back up to me "But who are you to be able to grant such a gift?"  I stepped back from him and smiled. Stretching my wings out as far as I could, I let my shadows swell around us. "I am the daughter of Lucifer and Queen Amara. A hybrid of two of the most powerful beings in existence today. I walk the shadow lands and embrace its creatures. I command the elements to do my bidding. I am the most powerful being that lives today. Only God himself out ranks me in power."  The vampire smiled mischievously reaching his hand out to me, I took it, shaking his hand firmly. "Looks like we have a deal hybrid. With you on our side we can't lose." I looked over to Asmodeus who had remained quiet the whole time. He stood rigid. His jaw taut, his lips in a hard line. His hands were balled into fists beside him as he trembled. I walked over to him, unraveled his fisted hand and intertwined our hands. "Time to go, my king." I purred. Asmodeus smiled as I wrapped my shadows around us, and they took us home.
