A friend

Karina's POV

We entered the house, after I received a text from Lucas that Mia can come inside now with me. When we got at the lounge, Mia couldn't stop circling herself around, looking at the beautiful interior designs of the house. I bet she couldn't believe her eyes that I'm living in a place like this with an alpha. I suddenly felt a bit proud inside, wanting to show off the beautiful parts of the room to her.

We immediately notice Lucas' presence the moment he came down from the stairs, wearing a mask. This alpha's pheromones is really no joke. He actually scares me sometimes, I haven't got used to his heavy feels like pheromones. But at the same time, it smells so good that I didn't want to stop inspiring his scent.

He stood in front of Mia, reaching his hand to shake with her. "It's nice to meet you Mia. I'm Lucas, Karina's boss." He simply murmur.

Mia gladly accepted his hand while blushing so much. Does it mean she approves him right away? Did she forgot what this alpha did to me during my first heat?

"It's nice to meet you too Mr. Lucas. I'll leave Karina in your hands, please take care of her." She said with a bit of tone in her voice. She's actually pertaining that I'm a foolish person. Well, with the several scams that I already experienced, I guess they're just right.

"I will. Karina prepare something for the guest as I'm currently doing something. I'll take my leave." He said, going back up to his room.

We both went to the kitchen, so I made Mia a sandwich and poured her some juice. I couldn't even count how many times she told me how beautiful the place is. I mean yeah, but so what since I'm only working here. I'm not planning to seduce that alpha as he also said that he don't have any interest on me. And besides, he has a girlfriend right? I sometimes notice him talking at the phone, softly and smiling like he's inlove.

"Karina, you and that Lucas don't have that kind of relationship right? I mean, he didn't hired you here because of what happened at the hotel?" She asked.

"No, he's only helping me because he was guilty. Don't worry I'm making sure that none of that will happen again. Did you even forget that I hate alpha as my partner." I explained. Lucas isn't bothered by it anyway. After that day, that I screamed at him for touching me, he didn't pay that much attention to me again. I mean, it's for the best. I'm just a bit annoyed at how he can quickly change his behavior. I need that kind of personality.

"I can't believe this."

Both of our heads instantly turned at the side when we heard an angry voice. It's the annoying beta.

"Who is this Karina? And who gave you the permission to let another omega in this house?" He asked, looking and judging Mia from head to toe.

"Can you not? Of course I asked Lucas permission, he already met my friend here, Mia." I replied.

Mia suddenly straightened her knees and going towards his direction.

Oh no..

"So you're Niccolo. It's nice to meet you, I'm Mia, Karina's only girl friend." She introduced herself, reaching her hand to handshake. Niccolo held his heads up, looking at Mia's hand. Contemplating whether to accept it or not.

"Niccolo. It's my pleasure to meet you but I'm afraid that I needed you to take your leave now. You see my alpha finds an omegas pheromones unpleasant. He would be stuck in his room if you won't leave this instance." He explained. I suddenly realized that what Lucas said earlier that he's busy was just an excuse, just to let Mia stay even longer.

"Heeh? I like your personality Niccolo. I like guys like you." Mia uttered moving closer to him. But Niccolo instantly took a step back and turned around.

"Karina, spray the house well after the departure of your friend. Excuse me." Then he went out. I heard his footsteps going up to the second floor. I guess he's going to nag at Lucas again.

"I'm sorry about that Mia. Let's just meet again next time. That beta is just too irritating." I pause looking at her. "Mia?" I asked when I notice her zoning out.

"Karina.. I think I like that beta." I suddenly flinched at what she said.

"What? He was rude at you and you're telling me that you still like that?" I asked.

"Karina, you just don't understand how attractive those kind of personality for me. Anyways I'm taking my leave for now before I get you to another bad situation. I'll see you next time Karina. Don't forget to text me Niccolo's number, I'm not going to tell him." She said before leaving the house. I was dumbfounded at how bold she is for liking a guy like that.

Days have passed normally, and thankfully I still didn't experience another heat. I hope it will also be like this for another week until I get my money. Today is Saturday, and I'm meeting with Mathew later to watch a movie.

After taking a bath I went down to the kitchen to prepare a breakfast. While I was cooking, it feels like I've been living in this house for how many years since I already used to maneuver easily around the kitchen. It's very nice to live in a kitchen with complete utensils and ingredients to cook.

After preparing everything, I placed a bowl of salad, fried eggs and sausages on the dining table. When I came back from the kitchen with a glasses of water, I saw Lucas coming towards the table looking so hot and attractive. I'd be honest, if I just don't hate alphas, I'm probably inlove with him right now.

"Goodmorning, please have a breakfast." I said, then seated after him.

While eating, I couldn't bring to say that I'll be leaving for a movie date. Well, it's not really a date, it's just to watch movie with a friend.

"Mmm Alpha, are you going to eat lunch in you office?" I asked.

"Yes, I'll be leaving after this breakfast. Why?" He replied. I suddenly felt happy knowing that I'll be free later.

"Nothing, I'm seeing a friend later so I'll be out of the house also. But don't worry, I won't take long." I explained.

He rested his chin on his hand after taking the last bite of then food then look at me. "You're going out with Mia?" He asked.

"No, not her another friend of mine. He asked to accompany him at the mall. It won't take long though." I assured him. But why am I explaining these things to him. It's like I'm not allowed to go outside during my free time.

"He? Do you mean that alpha from the coffee shop?" He questioned again. Seriously it's starting to irritates me.

"Yes, him." I said, getting our plates from the table and went to the kitchen.

He's been ignoring me these past few days, so why would he care now. What an asshole.
