A possible second marriage is brewing, but it wouldn't be the same...

~

Arden Fiasco wants Mitchie out of his house, asking her to sign the divorce papers to be with his Mistress.

When Mitchie left, she came back to her own family, with her father letting the world know her, the only Heiress of the richest family in the city and the nation.

When Arden decided to pursue her again, Mitchie made sure that he'll go through all the needles' holes before he could see her again.

Chapter 1: Divorced
Mitchie's POV "Get out of my house." Arden entered the kitchen pulling out a luggage which I instantly recognized at once. That's mine. He pushed it toward me as he stopped from coming any closer. I bit my lower lip as I try hard not to shout from the pain that it caused me, physically and emotionally. Before I could even stop the luggage, it hit my toes and bumped to my knees, making it to full stop. "I've been telling you to leave nicely but you're forcing me to be a monster inside my house." He just came back from an interesting trip this afternoon and the first thing he did was to pack my things. Two years of marriage was not enough. I thought I could even get his heart, but no. It has never happened because Kyla's always been in his heart. I thought the trip that he just came from was a business trip from their company, but I found out that he was with Kyla. They were having fun somewhere, while I was feeling miserable with everything that was happening in my life. Kyla's family has been sending me threats just so I'd leave Arden for her. I thought I needed to resist and stay, but maybe I was wrong all along. "Ah right. Before you go, sign this in front of me." He placed a brown envelope on the countertop beside me as well as a black sign pen. "What's that?" "Papers to officially end this two-year game of yours." "But your grandfather-" "That old man is dying and he could never help you again. Now sign that and get out of my face." My eyes got stuck on that envelope while my grip on the handle of the luggage tightened. This is crazy. Now he's defying his grandfather's orders. "What are you waiting for? Do it, now!" I flinched as he suddenly shouted. What choice do I even have? "My lawyer will compensate you if you're just afraid not to get anything after this. I'll give you a hundred thousand and a house. Just leave this instant." I didn't move. "What? You want more? Fine! I'll double that amount plus a car of your choice. Now sign that." Two hundred thousand dollars just to send me away. I smiled bitterly. For him, I am only worth a few thousands. That hurts me more than when my luggage hit me. Slowly, I took a step forward and reached for the pen and the document he wanted me to sign. "Before I sign this, let me ask you one thing." I raised my head and met his raging eyes. His jaw clenched. "If that amount is not enough, I'll make it a million." Any amount he'd give could never make me falter. "What did that woman promised you just to throw me away like this?" "Promised?" He laughed. So hard that I literally saw his tonsils. I never saw him laugh this hard and loud. "She doesn't need to promise me anything. I am doing this because neither you nor your family could ever help me in any way. You're a bunch of losers who only know how to dig other people's mines for gold." Slowly, I nodded and pulled my attention toward the paper. I pulled out the document from the envelope and prepared myself by signing each piece of paper. It's about money. I'm not even surprised. After signing the papers, I silently brought everything back inside the brown envelope and laid it flat on the table with the pen. He was silent all the time I was signing the papers, watching me as he made sure that I'd sign everything. "You can now leave. Take everything you have and leave my property and make sure you never show yourself in front of me again." He said as he pulled the envelope toward him. "You'll hear from my lawyer soon." He faced his back on me, ready to leave. Two years. For two years, his grandfather has always begged me to stay beside him for another month. He's been confined in the hospital for two months for his heart failure. If he found out that his grandson decided to defy him, he'd surely die instantly. People would surely do everything for money and fame. Throwing out and forgetting families were never an exemption to that. I watched him as he pulled out his phone from his pocket. Seconds after, he brought it to his ear. "Honey, yeah. I've got her signature. You can now move in." What the actual f**k? My hands clenched as he vanished from my sight. That was his plan all along. I should've known. I held back my tears. I'm done crying for him. I'm done begging him to stay. I did everything on my own means, but in the end he decided to throw me away like a candy's wrap. He chose money and all the things he could get from that woman's family over this marriage. Fine, then. I'm leaving. My gaze landed on the luggage that he sent me. The luggage that I used when I first transferred in his house is the same as the one he's sending me away with. Great. I don't need this nor anything from this house. I hope they all rot to hell. If they don't, I'll make sure of that while they're alive. I pulled up my phone from the table and opened it. The first thing that appeared on my screen as I unlocked it was their picture from their trip. They looked so happy with all those smiles there. My grip tightened on the phone. Let's see how long could you keep those smiles on your f****d up faces. My thumb reached for the number of the sender of the picture on my screen. Louie would be the happiest if he found out that I am finally divorced. I instantly deleted his contact as well as all of our conversations that he's mainly using to send me information for that asshole and his mistress. Now, it doesn't matter anymore. I scrolled through my contacts and found the number that I never contacted for once. Now is the time for that, I guess. "I want a full refund. Let them pay for their bills from now on." After recording the voice message, I hit send. Arden Fiasco seems to have a lot of money these days. Why not pay all his grandfather's bills in the hospital and all that he thought he's been paying all this time? Besides, I don't have anything to do with his family anymore. I've had enough. Not waiting for another minute to pass, I pulled myself out of his house without looking back. I called for a cab, and within a few minutes, it stopped in front of me. "To Hacienda Heights please." I told the driver as soon as I made myself comfortable inside. Not too long after, the car drove off. This shall be the last time I'd be here in this subdivision. "Are you working for the Viazon's?" That question caught my attention. I looked at the old man who's driving the car. He's too focused on his driving and he didn't notice me eyeing him suspiciously from the back. I didn't answer. "Hacienda Heights are for their workers, right? But are they also giving jobs around this village?" Oh yeah. I almost forgot. That building is mainly for their workers. Mostly, office workers. They made that for relocation, but the workers still needed to pay for their discounted monthly bills. I pushed my head to the backrest and closed my eyes. I don't want to answer anything. I have so much going on in my head right now. The travel became silent when he stopped asking questions which I was so thankful about. He dropped me off just in front of the building after an hour's drive. I went straight to the lobby of the building, and was about to go directly to the elevator when a man stopped me from going any farther. He called me to see him at the reception area just across the lobby. "Visiting someone?" I stared at him for a while. He's a new face here. I've never seen him before. "No. I live here." "Really? Haven't seen you around here. If I may ask, what company are you working for?" I frowned. "You should be asking my name first or my unit number instead of asking me that." I don't want to be rude, but I've been longing for a bed for quite a while now. "Oh, that's not how it works here." His smile is something I surely wanted to remove first. That's a really fake one. "How long have you been working here?" "A year and a half." He proudly answered. Who the heck hired this man? He's over himself. "Justin, have you seen the ledger?" A familiar voice registered in my ears so I immediately turned to see her. She stopped coming to the reception desk as soon as she saw me, eyes wide opened. "Ms. Michelle." She gasped.
