Only him she longed for. But her fate had already been decided. “For the pack,” he muttered, lowering his head into the crook of her neck. Zayden hated how easily her soft voice calmed him. Whenever she was near, all he wanted was to kiss her until she couldn’t breathe and mark her as his forever. But he couldn’t. No matter how much his wolf begged and growled inside him, he couldn’t. The Moon Goddess had made sure of that. She had made sure the Alpha of the Bloodmoon Pack suffered in the cruelest way possible. By never allowing him to claim his mate.
