Chapter 26
The drive took us through the business section of town to the more rural subdivisions. We passed the small family homes before the area opened into large estates, and the homes of more affluent families in town. Peter and I had both grown up that in the section of town before we left it behind to start our own journeys as adults. Sunshine, however, still lived in her family home. She was close to her grandfather, who raised her and her brothers. I knew her grandfather had been sick and she wanted to stay close to him as long as she could.
Peter pulled into the driveway of the largest house on the street. It screamed of old money and upper-class, reminiscent of the old Henry Flagler times.
"Not much has changed here, has it?"
