Cat talk.

The long flight had finally ended and she was back at the academy. As she walked down the hallway she bumps into someone familiar.
"What are you doing here at this hour?" Sariel angrily stood in front of her.
"What is that on your hands?" He glared harshly at the creature between Lisa's hands.
"Ohh this? This is my new friend, Angel Arielle gave it to me." Lisa gently strokes the animal.
" How did you know where the animals are kept? No student is allowed there." Sariel glowered in annoyance.
" Well a friend of mine took me there. They are very nice you know." She smiles against Sariel's hostile gaze.
"Friend? Only the Uishaps know the way there." He explained.
" Yes. I know." Lisa responded.
"So how did you…" Then hit by realization Sariel's sighs.
"Nevermind just get back to your dome." And walks away leaving Lisa in the hallway.
"That was awkward." Lisa walked away to find her room. As she arrives she placed the animal down and left it to play. She takes a really long shower to cool off and then bathing also the little one. Luckily it turned out to really like water, very much unlike the cats she's used to back on earth.
"Wow are those pink patches?" Lisa noticed little tiny light pink patches which were almost under it's furr.
"You're such a cute little thing, aren't you?" Lisa continues drying off the animal.
"I'll name you Bella. How do you like that?" She was caressing it's soft hair. When she was done cleaning up, she goes back to the leaving room.
"I can't believe Sariel is making us read all these rules." Lisa lifted the heavy book.
" Rules are boring."
"Definitely. Wait what? What did you just say?" She studies the confused Bella.
" Meow?" The cat responded.
"Okay keep it together Lisa." She still couldn't understand why she kept hearing voices. Maybe it's the tricks of this place, she wouldn't be surprised if the wind could speak.
So she goes on perusing through the book, reading as much as possible.
"Most tedious way to waste my time." Lisa threw the book aside and started playing with Bella.
"Now here's the most effective way." She starts chasing the extremely energetic Bella around the whole house. Till they were both tied of playing they went to sleep.
"Just imagine." Lisa actually didn't have much trouble getting a nice bed for Bella.

In the morning Lisa's sleep is interrupted by vibrations on top of her.
"Bella? You are already awake?" She took off her blankets to see her.
" Oh my goodness! How did you get so big?" Not minding Lisa's confusion Bella starts nudging her and jumping up and down.
"Okay this is awkward! " She slowly moves back, eyes still set on the muddled Bella.
"How did you grow so fast?" She even thought she might be dreaming. She can't possibly grow so fast in just a few hours.
"I don't know."
"What did you just say? I'm definitely sure I heard you say something." Lisa jumped off the bed staying as far as possible from Bella.
"But I didn't say anything?" Bella responded having an unhinged look on her face.
"Okay I'm definitely going nuts. First I end up in this damn academy, then everyone thinks I'm dead and now a talking cat that grows overnight? I'm definitely going crazy." She starts pacing up and down the room.
"I don't think you're crazy you're such a sweetheart." The cat responded again.
" How in the hell are you even doing that?"
" How you are reading my mind? I should be asking you that."
" I'm not reading your mind. Why would I be reading your mind? That's insane… right?"
Then a loud knock startled Lisa.
"Somebody is at the door."
"You stay here and keep quiet. I'll go check the door?" Lisa quickly brisks away .
"Won't say a word." Bella responded as Lisa walked of the room.
"What is happening to me? This so insane." Lisa muttered as she walked down the stairs. She opened the door revealing Ariel.
"Hey! How are you?" Without waiting for Lisa's invitation he went inside the house.
"Ariel hey? What are you doing here?" Lisa followed him behind as he was already running up the stairs to her room.
"I really need a favor." He swings her door open
" A favor?" Lisa asked confused.
"And why are you taking off your shirt?" Lisa narrowed her eyes as Ariel throws his shirt on top of her bed.
"I need to use your shower." He threw off his pants.
" My shower? Why do you need to use my shower?" Ariel was already going into the bathroom.
"Lost a bet yesterday and now my shower is covered in slime. I'll probably be using your shower for the next few days." He poked out his head from the shower.
" Wow your shower is so clean." The sound of water was heard right after.
"You couldn't use your Uncle's shower or something?" She shouted above the pitter-patter sound of water.
"He said 'NO'." He mimicked Sariel's harsh voice.
" Did you remember to say 'please'?"
" No. I said 'pretty please'!"
"Harsh." She said.
" He's cute. Is that your boyfriend?" Bella who was sitting still somewhere on the bed finally sounded.
"He's not my boyfriend. He's just a friend." Lisa quickly corrected Bella.
"And you know what I'm just going to pretend I'm not talking to cats. I'm just gonna go over there and forget you even said a word." Lisa went over to the closet going through her clothes.
"Suit yourself." Bella snuggles comfortably on the comfy blankets.
Lisa tries by all means to avoid her. She checks for clothes to wear for the day. Then she pulls out a dress and checks how it looks on the mirror.
"Pretty dull don't you think?" Bella responded as she was watching the whole thing.
"I can't believe I'm getting fashion advice from a cat." Lisa threw the dress back on the closet.
"Now that's definitely a good one." She said as Lisa pulled a mini dress with a golden upper body and the lower black.
Lisa glared at Bella.
"OOPS! Gotta keep quiet." She climbs off the bed and starts stretching her legs.
Ariel also walking out of the shower.
"Thanks for letting me use your shower."
" It's not like I had any other choice." She stares at his bare skin only covered with a towel around his waist.
"What's that?" He points at Bella.
"Ohh this? This is Bella. She's my pet." She caresses Bella's hair as she nestles around her legs.
"Where did you get a pet?" He queries astonished.
" Yeah. Yesterday I had a lot of time in my hands, I ended up stumbling where all the animals are kept."
" I thought we were not allowed there?"
" Well unless you are riding a Uishap."
" How did you convince a Uishap to take you there? I've been trying to convince them for years, they are pretty stubborn. And my sister always saying 'No you're not ready yet" like what do I need to do? Talk to animals?" He threw his hands in vexation.
" Probably." Lisa replied in her mind.
" Did you say your sister?"
"Yeah my sister. She's the one looking after the animals."
" You Mean Arielle?" Lisa slightly lifted her brow.
" See you guys have met."
"Yeah. And I'm here wondering who else you are not telling me about."
" Maybe I'll just let you find that out for your self, you seem very good at it. Anyways that's a cool cat you have there and very rare too."
" Very rare?"
" Yeah the only cat that can grow big on just a few days."
" And talk." Though she only says it in her mind.
" Well I think that I noticed." Lisa eyes the cat.
" And they feed on affection. Well all animals feed on affection. But the more you show her some love, there more she'll grow very big." He also bends down to pet Bella.
" There more she'll grow?" Lisa's imagination immediately broke loose.
"Don't worry. She'll grow this big at least…" He points somewhere below Lisa's stomach.
"Phew! I think I can work with that. Just can't imagine a cat filling my whole bedroom."
" C'mon that would be epic! I think I would love to have such a big cat, it would be so much fun."
"I think I'm starting to see why your sister doesn't allow you to be around the animals." Ariel rolled his eyes.
" Look I'd like to stay here and chat all day but I really got to go." He prepares to remove the towel and stares bluntly at Lisa who was still looking at him.
"Ohh sorry." Lisa immediately looked away.
" I'll see you later and thanks." Lisa turned back again to see him already wearing a white v neck shirt with some solid white pants.
"He really looks good in white."
"By the way nice nighties. Looking good in them."
" Thanks." He smiled and like that he disappeared.
"Well I should also be preparing for my lessons." She sighed as she went to take a shower.
"Isn't he amazing?" Lisa for a second might have forgotten she had a talking cat in her house.
"I almost forgot you can talk."
"I can't talk, I'm not even moving my mouth. We're just communicating telepathically."
" As if that makes it any better. How is that even possible?"
" I don't know. But what I know is that, that's how other animals communicate too." Bella lays in front of the mirror where Lisa was fixing her face.
"Other animals?" She looks at Bella dumbfounded.
"How did you think animals communicate? Just imagine the dogs barking, the cows , the horses making all the noises. That would be a fiasco."
"A fiasco is that I'm telepathically communicating with you. I'm not even an animal… I think..."
" Well I don't know anything, just came in yesterday. I only know animals telepathically communicate because I tried to communicate with a few yesterday and I was just guessing why they communicate like that."
"You just came in yesterday?" Lisa got up from the mirror to pick her dress and Bella followed her.
"Yeah. And surely back home they think I'm really stupid."
" Why would they think that?" Lisa went back to the mirror to fit her dress.
"My kind leaves for a really long time before they can die, well not unless you jump off the cliff into a pond of water and get eaten by an Evil Snake which they warned you about."
" That's really a terrible way to die." Lisa said as she zipped up the dress.
"I don't regret it. Anyways how did you end up here?"
" By seeing random suspicious looking people on the road and following them which they mistakenly led me to this place."
" That's bad. Did they kill you?"
"No. It was Ariel and Jinnah. They were sent on a mission on earth, I followed them and they accidentally transported me here. I'm too young to die."
" Exactly!" Lisa looks at Bella surprised.
" Maybe I do regret throwing myself to death. Anyways do they know?"
" No. They think I'm dead."
" That's really sad. But look on the bright side, this place is awesome."
" Yeah. Look I have to go. See you later okay." She scratches the cat a few times before heading away.
"This place is most definitely more wierd than I thought." Lisa mummers as she went to her lesson.
"You're late!" Sariel was already waiting by the door frame.
"Ariel didn't have a place to shower." Lisa tries to explain.
"So?" Lisa only looks at him with the answer written all over her face.
"Just sit down!" He moved away from the door and Lisa gladly went in to her sit. After a very long lesson Lisa and Jane were walking down the hall to get their break.
"So yesterday…" Lisa immediately stopped talking when she saw something disturbing far ahead.
She quickly moved to the scene to get a closer look at what was happening.
"Ariel?" She spotted Ariel in front of a tall well mascular guy. He was slightly bigger than Ariel in terms of weight and he was thrashing Ariel like he was nothing. And everyone was watching like it was just a movie.
"Get away from him!" Lisa pushed the guy off Ariel.
He only moves a few inches away and turns sharply to meet Lisa's eyes.
With just one look Lisa realized she might have done the biggest mistake in her life.
His eyes were burning red, his jaws clenched and he looked ready to tear her to pieces any moment. Everyone grew tense and silent like they were watching a horror drama.
But then to everyone's surprise he walked away, everyone making way as he passes. He definitely left everyone dumbfounded, even Lisa herself.
In awareness Lisa quickly bent down to check over her friend who was still wincing in pain.
"Hey Ariel are you okay." She held him by the shoulder sadness clouding her eyes.
" I'm fine. And I didn't need you to play hero, I can handle myself." He groans as he forces himself to get up.
"Ariel?"
"I said I'm fine… And stay out of my business." He takes painful steps as he walked away.
" But you're hurt?" He doesn't answer but continues Limping to the opposite direction.
Still focusing on Ariel she feels a hand yanking her away.
"What's wrong with you?! Are you tryna get yourself hurt?" She dragged her out of the hall.
" What was I supposed to do? Just watch while my friend is getting molested? I had to do something." Lisa cried.
" You had to do nothing! You can't be messing with such dangerous people."
" C'mon! What I'm I suppose to do? Not look into his eyes, Bow my head before him? Is he so special that he can just bully around my friends? Look I don't care, when someone tries to bully one of my friends I'm gonna make it my business like it or not."
" I get it. But I just want you to be careful. There are some people you don't want breathing down your neck."
" Okay I get it. But just so you know…"
" Noted." They both went to their favorite spot. They chat for a while, Lisa still trying to get out of her mind the man from earlier. She was wondering what's his deal?

The whole class stands in queue for their next task.
"Today you will be learning how to get into someone's head. Read their memories and Also blocking people from reading your memory."
" You mean you can actually read my memory?" One student raised a question as they whole class was still in shock.
"And I don't think I want to experience whatever is in your memories." He flared sharply at the student.
" To master this we will need people who already mastered the technique." A few students walked in. Lisa even noticed some she already knew. She waves at Jinnah and Ariel who was looking to be doing a lot better than earlier. And of course Hecate was invited too. Lisa felt herself already losing interest.
Sariel starts pairing everyone and Lisa was lucky enough to be paired with Jinnah.
"Where's my partner?" Jane protested as she was the only one without a partner.
"Miss Jane you'll be paired with Lucifer for today." Sariel responded.
" Lucifer?" Jane's eyes almost popped out of the face.
"Lucifer?"
"Lucifer?" Everyone starts mummers all around and Lisa was the only one who was left confused.
"What's a Lucifer?" As she asked a dark figure emerged headed towards the whole class.
Lisa almost choked on her spit seeing it was the man from earlier.
