Flying Halfway there.

The party went on and on for hours but Lisa's mind wasn't mostly there, it was way back on earth. Thinking how is this possible? Why is she here? Is there really a purpose. After the party , Jinnah and Ariel sent her back to her room. Feeling a little tipsy from the colorful sparkling drink , she went to sleep. When she woke in the morning , her body was relaxed as always. She woke up and prepared for her first lesson. As she was done she went to check up on Jane.
"So how was the party?" Jane asked with a wide smile.
" Hecate was there. "
" Boo!!" She held her thumb upside down. "She's such a jerk. "
"Couldn't agree with you more. But the party was missing a little something. " Lisa nudged her. They were walking out of the Dome to their class.
"What?" She was drooling for the gossip.
" You silly. " Lisa laughs as Jane's face lit up in surprise.
"I thought you had everything you needed. "
" I thought so too , until they went to catch some fresh air leaving me alone. I got ambushed by Hecate. "
" Damn! What did you do?"
" A friend of mine helped. Well we're not exactly friends , but yeah. "
" Sounds like you were having fun. " She pounced her with a little giggle.
" Fun? Did I tell you it was a cloud. " Lisa even now still couldn't believe the cloud. It sounded so wierd and not possible in many different ways.
"What was a cloud?" Jane was already ready for some more gossip , she was getting fueled.
"We were partying inside a cloud. How crazy is that?" Jane looked at her for a moment and bursted out in laughter.
"You don't believe me, do you?" Lisa was quite disappointed by the way Jane was laughing at her. She was making her sound crazy , which she did. Of cause how could you imagine a party inside a cloud? That's just insanity.
"How much did you drink? Cause clearly you don't feel well. " She even checked her forehead mockingly.
"I'm not drunk. I'm telling you , I still can't believe myself. "
" You're not serious. "
" I am. " Then Sariel glared at them as they entered the classroom.
"Everybody get seated. " He started his lecture. Giving the whole class giant books , filled with rules. So many rules.
"Do we really need to know all these?" Lisa stares at the heavy book in front of her.
"No. " Sariel focused his attention to her. "No you must not know all the rules. " Lisa gave a sigh of relief.
" YOU MUST OBEY ALL THE RULES. " He yelled emphasizing every word.
Everyone in the class groans. Lisa got tired before she even started.
"He must be joking. How does he expect me to learn all this? I feel like he just likes seeing us suffer. "
" I'm giving you five days to master all this! Five days!"
" Five days?" The whole class literally complained.
"Quiet!! Let me tell you something you don't know. You were not born here so which means unlike those who were born here you don't have all the time to yourself. You must catch up as fast as you can and that means mastering this book in five days. Now you may leave my class. " He brisked out of the class room before any other student. Everyone else followed him there after.
"I don't think this guy likes us. "
" Yeah Sariel is tough on everyone. " Jane replied. They both went to get the food.
"I wish I could see my family and friends you know. I can't even reach out to them. "
" And you are not yet to travel back to earth. So it's still going to be a while. " She said.
" Can I travel back to earth?"
"Yeah sure. In form of a person , or just a possessive spirit. It's all so complicated , but you'll learn eventually. "
"Sounds like a lot of work. I still can't believe I'm trapped here. " Lisa's mind grew distant. She was thinking about her life back on earth. How good it was. Before her Husband cheated on her and she started remembering things.
Everything happening it makes her feel like she's losing her mind. Everything makes no sense. It's just one big mystery she has no clue how to solve.
"You look distant. "
"It's just that everything does not make any sense. Sometimes I just feel like I'm dreaming. Like all this is not true. "
" It happens to the best of us. Don't worry about it , as time goes I'm sure maybe you'll understand. Your questions will be answered. " Jane held her hand in hers in comfort.
"I hope so. I really do. " She also grabs firm on her hand.
They both have some food. With Lisa losing herself in thought most of the time. She really wanted some answers , but no one could answer her.
She was interrupted by the ringing of the bell. Her and Jane they both walk to class. To find Archangel Laila already waiting for them , with a beautiful smile as always.
"Afternoon students. So today I'll be the one teaching you the process of flying. So if you would please follow me to the outside ground. "
She walked out.
" Am I the only one , who's happy about this?" She whispered to Jane.
" Nop. I've never been so happy to fly , ever since two days ago. At least you learned to land. "
" But I still can't fly. "
The whole class assembled in front of Laila.
"So you guys as you know , your wings are heavy. You must learn to control your wings. Just imagine they were not heavy at all , but at the same time you must know they are part you of so must learn to use them. " She instructed the whole class. No one will ever understand why Sariel didn't just give out the information.
"So Lisa I've heard you're one step ahead. " Lisa nodded as she approached her.
" Can you flap your wings?"
"I think I can. "
" You must be sure. Before you can learn to fly like the other demons or angels , you must know how to flap your wings. "
" I think I can do that. " Laila went to attend other students as Lisa continues to flap her wings. Dust already forming around her , some of it even got to her eyes and clothes. When she was sure , she had to fly to the cliff above , opposite to before.
Flapping her wings as hard as she can , she tried to soar to the skies but kept failing. She would just move an inch above the ground and fall down again. She tried , over and over again that she wanted to give up all together.
"Why can't I do this? " She cried falling again to the ground.
"You must be patient. Take your time , don't force yourself. I believe you can do it , just give it time. " Archangel Laila said from behind.
She took a deep breath again and tried. She felt herself lifting off the ground. She was actually flying to the cliff.
"See you're doing it!" Archangel Laila cheered. She was nearly halfway to the cliff.
" No I'm not doing it!" She screamed as she lost her balance and was heading hard to the ground. Archangel Laila flew behind , caught her bringing her back to safety.
"Don't worry that was great. You're just getting started. You can go back to your dome and practice more. "
" Thank you. " She nodded with a smile and left. She dismissed everyone , telling them to practice more and at least they got the landing part.
