NICK WAS PLEASANTLY surprised to see Maggie sitting up and sipping ginger-ale and joking with Joey.
Joey laughed and said, “Maggie has been telling me about your time together in Montana, she has some interesting stories about you and winter driving.”
Nick started to laugh and shook his head. “I don’t recall, and I am sure I don’t know how to winter drive.”
Maggie laughed, “You didn’t know how, but you learned how, the hard way!”
Joey joined in on the laughter and announced, “I’m out of here unless you need me for something?”
