FORT MEYERS, FLORIDA
Emily and Alex Wentworth were sitting in comfortably padded chairs beside their pool and admiring the variety of sea birds that were swimming just offshore. A couple of stately blue herons were walking in the shallow water, with their attention riveted on the schools of fish just under the surface of the navy-blue water. The light breeze kept the day from being too warm and the two dogs were happily sleeping in the shade. Alex kept picking his cellphone up and putting it back down on the table that sat between them.
