A couple weeks into the school year, one of Sam’s fellow students approached her and began to ask her certain questions about Janie. She found it odd that a boy would engage her alone but she quickly came to realize that he was interested in dating Janie and was trolling for information and way to ask her out. Sam considered that he must have serious interest in Janie that he would risk asking the most feared student in school. It slipped her grasp that she no longer held that title.
