As Janie began to spend more time with the boy she was dating, Sam wasn’t as alone as she thought she would be. One day, a senior from the team came over to where she was sitting, sat down across from her and asked, “Do you mind if I join you?” Sam was a bit suspicious but nodded yes as the girl asked, “Do you know who I am?”
Sam looked at her puzzled by the question and answered, “Of course I know who you are, Kim.”
Kim was surprised Sam knew her name before she said, “I am the one who was going to be named captain of the team and now with the new coach, that is not going to happen because everyone knows that you are going to be named team captain.”
