The season was still some time away and Sam tried to get the team to come to the gym after school whenever she could but being juniors and seniors, the other girls had social lives they wanted to lead. Most of the girls had boyfriends, were old enough to drive and had cars. Sam, however, still had no life, wasn’t old enough to drive yet, had no access to a car, didn’t have a girlfriend and certainly had no social life.
It was a small town, which was not open to accept her lifestyle and she had no idea where she could go to meet like-minded people.
