Chapter 25
Sam wrote the thank you note to Janie’s family and gave it to her Monday. She got into the routine spending time with Janie during the day and then going to the gym after school. A lot of the time, Sam wound up playing against boys but sometimes she would practice with Janie if she would come to the gym.
The season was nearing so Ms. Hamm wanted the team to start a more organized practice together. A few of the girls on the team still did not approve of Sam being on the team so there was some grumbling as they began.
