A couple of the girls joined her at the board as they worked through more plays and for a few minutes, the girls put aside insults, threats of quitting and just talked about basketball. This is what Ms. Hamm had been looking for, for Sam finally to find the voice to lead and the other girls to follow. Now if they could only translate it from the locker room to the court.
