Chapter 26
Sam’s mother had been to a couple of her games this year, she was leaving her daughter home alone more often, she was drinking more and staying out later. Sue’s drinking led to more arguments and Sam hated when her mother drank because she was a sloppy annoying drunk. Sue repeated herself, was moody, belligerent and embarrassing the more she drank. Her drinking also led to her associating with more deadbeat losers.
She would go out to singles bars, meet some drunken scumbag and bring him home and more than a few of them wanted to get their lecherous hands on Sam. When she told them she was a lesbian, it made them even more determined because they all had the same story that all she needed to turn her straight was one night with him.
