Against the pack

Act Four

Sharon and Dexter begin a romantic relationship. They are so carried away by their feelings for each other that Sharon forgets about her previous life almost completely while Dexter falls for her completely. She is different from any other girl he has come across. She is more daring and more adventurous, but she is also stealth and mysterious. Sharon likes Dexter because he is not as controlling as the men she grew up to know. Dexter respects her and her opinions and is always there for her when she wants to talk or do something else. She likes how intelligent Dexter is and she learns some digital skills from him while she teaches him tracking and hunting.

Dexter takes her around the city and shows her exciting places around the city. He takes her to the library, the museum and aquarium. He takes her skating and bowling and paintball wars. While they explore the city, she uses her superior senses to avoid any encounter with Raul and his pack. She learns about the different races and cultures in the city and the different gangs and packs in the city. She finds out the pack Raul is and that his pack is the most feared pack in the city. She learns about Hugo and the kind of things he does.

As the days go by, Sharon discovers that she is in love with Dexter and is scared that he is going to leave her if he finds out about her identity but then a full moon draws closer and she knows that one day, sooner or later, Dexter is going to find out so she gets worried because she does not want to lose Dexter because of what she is. She starts making arrangements for a place where she can stay during the full moon to avoid hurting anybody or drawing attention to herself.

While Sharon and Dexter are getting themselves acquainted, Hugo and his pack prioritize finding Sharon. They look for Sharon intensely throughout the city but no one seems to know her or know about her whereabouts. When Hugo gets frustrated because of their inability to find Sharon, he tells his beta’s to widen the search and go after the humans that she was hanging out with and as such the pack members start looking for Dexter and the rest of his team. Due to the full moon is around the corner, the pack members are more irritated and hostile in their search for Sharon and as such they are not discreet as they are supposed to be which draws the attention of the police to the situation.

Raymond goes for an orgy in an isolated house. Unknown to him, Raul and Clayton have been tracking him but Raymond does not have the slightest idea. Raul and Clayton wait for Raymond to finish inside the pleasure house and on his way home, they adopt him to use as leverage against Sharon. They question Raymond intensively about Sharon but unfortunately Raymond does not know a lot about Sharon and as such does not have information to share with them. This pisses Hugo so much so he asks Raymond about some of her behaviours to be able to scale her strength.

Raymond tells them nothing still and as such, Hugo kills him and tells them to make sure that Sharon sees the body. He tells some men to start keeping tabs on Dexter and make sure that they report every activity to him. Mason is the one who was instructed by Hugo to keep tabs on Dexter. Mason is Hugo’s nephew and was one of the first people that Hugo turned into a werewolf. Mason is more physically built than Raul and Clayton and he has the ferocity of his uncle.

Sharon comes to the office in the morning to meet a crime scene. Members of the staff and members of the public surround the crime scene and she sees an ambulance parked at the corner. She sees them lift a body bag into the ambulance and a police officer taking notes from Dexter. She walks up to Tessa who explains to her that Raymond was the deceased. Sharon senses an intruder and looks around and spots Mason at a distance. Their eyes lock and Mason walks out casually. She immediately knows that Mason has a hand in the death of Raymond. When the police officer lets go of Dexter, he sees Sharon and tries to regain his composure. She gives him a hug and comforts him. Dexter then heads into the office while Sharon heads over to the spot where Mason was standing and picks his scent.

Sharon follows the scent to an isolated warehouse where she finds Mason, Clayton and Raul. Mason tries to find out if she belongs to a pack but her claws start coming out and her teeth starts getting longer and she starts growling. This surprises Mason and his crew as they have never seen a werewolf transform without a full moon. She attacks Mason and Raul and Clayton join Mason to assist him and although their number gives them an advantage and gives them a fighting chance, Sharon overpowers them and kills Mason but injures Raul and Clayton severely that they have to run away.

Sharon goes to a public toilet with some new clothes and goes to change her clothes. She washes the blood off her skin and mouth and the blood between her fingers then changes her clothes. She then picks up her old clothes and leaves the toilet. She dumps the clothes in the garbage can and leaves for the office. She goes to Dexter’s office and Tessa tells her that Dexter was given the day off so she also takes the day off and goes to Dexter’s house.

Dexter hesitates to let her in because he does not want her to see the state that he is in but he eventually does. When she sees how disoriented Dexter is, she gives him a big deep hug. From the hug they start kissing and end up making love.
