LEFT OR RIGHT?

Logan’s POV Everything about my entire existence is ending tonight. This night, the name Logan Drummond would not be heard of again, the boy with emptiness in his eyes would not be seen again, just bad talks and rumors. I threw my backpack over my shoulder, standing up from the chair and draping the cover of my hoodie on my head as the bell for the end of school day rang. I was always the first person to stand up from the class, even before the teacher. I gave no f***s about what they all think about it or how they stared scaredly at me, not yesterday, and especially not today. I strode out of the class, glancing towards her seat to see her head down on the table. A small smile crept on my lips as I walked out of the class. She was my savior. The end to my entire misery and even in my grave, I’ll be forever grateful for what she has done for me. Calista… a name that meant the whole world to me. I’ve noticed her a handful in class, given how much they bullied her and treated her like s**t, but I cared for none of it. She had her problems and so do I. I ignored the eyes I was getting from every one of the students, passing through the path being cleared out for me. I was glancing within my cap, noticing how they all stared at me as if I was a doom, a curse or a timing bomb waiting to blow off. If they were scared of a 17 year old boy like me, they could forever be, it was none of my business. I didn’t talk, never bullied, never did anything worse and yet they made it look like I’ve killed their entire family before. I stepped out of the school entrance door, about turning to a corner when I heard my name being called. I tightened the grip on my bag, clenching my jaw hard and strong as I halted in my steps, “Logan!” The male dominant voice yelled out again, this time more terrifying than the last. This was the reason why they were all scared, and were staring at me like a ticking bomb. I turned slowly, raising my head to meet the cold eyes of my father, Chadwick Drummond. A trickle of warmth flowed through me as I met his cold eyes, stepping close towards him. “Father,” I called out respectfully, the smile widening through my entire face as I reached him. His face was grim as usual, the wrinkles of old age lining the edges of his eyes. His jaw was visibly hardened, and in his eyes there was no space for the warmth of anyone, not even his son. I was the boy without a soul in my eyes, but with my father, I had depth, I had soul, I was not nothing. Seeing him alone made my heart fill with warmth, and yearn for love. But just like I wanted it, I was never given. “Get inside the car now!” He snapped, turning away harshly from me and entering into the car. The smile on my face died down, my heart panging with the familiar heartache of not being accepted. I gobbled down, clenching my jaw hard and ignoring the pain as I opened the car door, throwing myself to the chair. I didn’t bother greeting the driver as the car started to move, removing the cap of my hoodie and leaning back to the back of the car seat, my eyes shut deeply. “Pass your bag.” I heard my father say. My heart skipped a beat as I firstly opened my eyes. I stared straight ahead, acting like his words were not clear enough for me to hear. This was not good at all, not even one bit. The materials I bought were in my bag, and if he ever sees it, I’ll be in a lot of f*****g trouble than I am before in all my entire life. “Didn’t you hear me? Pass your bag now!” He snapped. I swallowed hard on my saliva, picking my bag slowly not to make any sound as I zipped open it. I scrunch my face up as my fingers move slowly, my heart racing with fear, trying to zip it open gently. “If I have to repeat myself one more time, I’ll f*****g step down of this car and kill you with my bare hands.” I clenched my jaw hard, stopping my hand on the zip and looking up at him. I zipped it close and picked it up, flinging it straight to him. I didn’t mind how it hit him, or the f*****g repercussions, “there’s a f*****g rope and insecticide there. And you know what it’s for already so f*****g do whatever you have to do.” I hissed out at him. I could feel the air in the car shift to something dangerous, making a cold chill run down my spine. I glanced towards the window and noticed we were already close to the gates of the Alpha Mansion, letting out a deep sigh. I jumped out of the car the instant the car was packed, “Logan!” I heard him yell out, ignoring his calls. I fast walked towards the door, my chest pounding heavy in fear as my hair bounced up and down as I rushed. But I knew I was no match for my father especially with his werewolf speed. His body force hit me, jamming me straight to a wall as a sharp pain shot through my entire body. His fist connected with my face immediately, another pain running on my jaw. I closed my eyes, expecting more and more of it as they came, each of them stronger than the last, his anger in each of the blows. “You stupid thing! You want to kill yourself!” He scoffed out. He pulled me by my hair, dragging me towards the door. I watched the maids and guards all how their heads, none of them unable to say a word. It was no new thing to them how my own father treated me like his main enemy. I groaned out in pain when my back hit the wall as he flung me, gritting my teeth together. “You want to kill yourself?” He scoffed out, running his hand through his hair as he stared angrily at me. He walked towards him, steam blowing off both his face and eyes, “Father, I did… The rest of the words got stuck in my mouth as his claws slashed through my face, spilling blood instantly. “If I had been one minute late, you would have died! And let all my hard work go down the drain! I should have killed you instead of that witch!” The back of my eyes stung with tears, threatening to break out as the pain hit me. It was not the pain of his claws slashing my face, or my jaws being pushed aside by his fist, but of his words. The same words I’ve heard for 18 years now, and the same words that made the students in school scared of me, the people of the pack name me the Soulless prince. “Do you know how I figured it out!” He said and my eyes flicked towards him, meeting his stare. “That girl. If not for her, the whole pack would be in disarray of counting dead bodies!” My eyes widened a bit, anger and annoyance mixing through me as I parted my lips, “Calista?” The wrinkles on his face deepened, “go to the beating room and lay down now. If I get there before you, you might finally get the death you badly want.” He turned and walked away from me, leaving me with my angered thoughts about Calista. The blood dripping slowly from my face intensified my anger towards a particular girl. I clenched my jaw hard, staring deep at nowhere. I threatened her not to tell anyone, and of course she didn’t tell anyone. She had to come to tell my father. I lifted one of my legs up, dropping my arm as I swiped my tongue against my lips, the taste of the blood releasing a thirst of anger and rage within me. I lifted the corners of my lips up into a smirk, the mere thought of thinking about how to punish her making me smile. Oh, I was going to deal with her, severely, brutally and in the most painful ways possible. She was going to suffer from my wrath, and I was going to enjoy every single second of it. I dropped my head to the back, her entire body showing up in my brain. My father had punched me, slapped me, dragged me by my hair, and even slashed my face. “Hmm.” I hummed, raising myself up from the ground. I walked towards the living room mirror, slowly tilting my head to the left side where the four claw marks of his fingers were, “Which side should I run my claws on your face, Calista?” I muttered to myself, squinting my eyes at the image of her in my brain, “left or right?”
