The Wolf Totem: The Guardian

Prolouge: The first of werewolves was Romuleus and Remus. Nestled babes from a she-wolf. But of course humans through out history have twisted this bit of information, and became founders of what was Rome. There was also Loki's son, Fernir, the greatest of werewolves said to be the symbol of the end of the world. In a way it was. Humans created legends and stories about man beasts, some man raised by said beasts. But soon was known to everyone, they might have not been fables after all. They had their own rules, their own culture and religion, praising the old gods, the lunar goddess Selene. They had their own territories after it was largely known they existed. Humans backed into a corner, and a peace between their governments settled. A Peace treaty. They had their lands, and humans had theres. Then society coexisted and some humans chose to coexist with the shifters. Witches, humans with magic was in existence as well as other shifting animals such as kitsune, a were-fox. There were three type of wolves, Lycans which were humans turned wolf, then just werewolves who were born that way, they acted and looked like a wolf, but three times its size. Then the mythical primordial wolf, a legend really. A normal were, but with enhanced abilities such as sight, smell and hearing and strength. Those didn't exist anymore. There were five major wolf territories in North America: The Moon Glow Pack, Silver Moon City was the largest city- modern day New York City. But with more parks, less cars. Humans and Were's from all over came here for work or to find a better life. It was lead by Alpha Aiden Blackwood and his brother, Blaze. The second was Aurora Pack, home to Ice City, modern day Colorado, a city at the botom of the mountains that acted as protecting to the city and pack. This was lead by Koda Sterling, a young wolf Alpha. The Third Pack, was Wrens Peak, a pack with the oldest of werewolves in North America. They were mainly the elders and governoring of the wolf packs all together. This was lead by Sirus Greystone The Fourth Pack was the GoldenFang Pack, the wealtheiest of the Packs, financial benefactors to the packs. They lived in a golden palace on the east coast. They were lead by Lilly and her brother, Skye Fang. The Fith Pack- was a dark pack, responsible for war and bloodshed both human and weres alike. The NightShade pack. Nestled in the darkest of forest of the north. Originally lead by Ace, a pure black wolf with piercing red eyes that could bring your deepest darkest desires to reality. There was a fierce battle ten years ago, binding the wolf to the territory. He had a dark power with his venom claws that ended up wiping out and killing many werewolf Alphas at the time. Sometime later, a mysterious wolf named Killian toppled him and reclaimed the territory. Very little is known about the lone, rouge wolf. Finally, there are the Freedom and Liberated territories, a cluster of states of the southern territories for humans who had no desire to be part of werewolf society. They had their own communities and governors. It was almost similar to the Old West, nestled with gated communities. A utopia for humans. All coexisted and lived a life of peace- until now. A storm is brewing for a fight for a mythical stone that could make an Alpha werewolf to a powerful one, enhancing its abilities and making it stronger and faster than anywolf. No one knew where it was, or what it looked like. But it was also said, a wolf spirit would appear during the time in which the moon is swallowed by the storm. It would unite humans and werewolves and bring peace. or it will bring doom. 22 years later: Emma Blake yawns, full moons made her tired, restless and anxious. She taps her pencil working on her sketch. The wolf that would appear in her dreams. Her blue eyes scanned the detailed drawing. She nods to herself. "Right." She looks back to the office where her boss, Alpha Aiden Blackwood. Was currently having s*x with Amber Everly, his rumored Luna to-be. She winces. She was like a Paris Hilton for wolves, but twice the temper. Alpha Aiden had been her boss at Silver Moon enterprises. She had been his assistant for three years. He took her under his wing, in the very pathetic state she was in, and climbed her way up. She was smart, but at the time she was practically broke and homeless. Having just escaped the nightmares of Foster Care, she climbed her way and scraped by through college, MIT. Aiden came in contact with her at a confrence. He saw her potential, her skills. She was a genius by human standards. She just needed a foot in the door. Thanks to Aiden, she now had a cozy loft style apartment, of course with her lucrative salary she could afford maybe a penthouse, but that was far from her style. So, over the years no matter how badly everyone dismissed her or treated her badly, because she was the only human here, she stayed. She wanted to prove her worth and loyalty to him. Even if no one else saw it. She was too busy in her work to notice Amber peering down over her. "AHEM!" She jumps, taking out her headphones. "Working on an art project?" she scoffs "So incredibly useless. human." She snaps her well manicured nails at her like a dog. She laughs when she see's what she's drawing. A wolf. A white one. "Cute- you're so desperate to be one of us you had to DRAW a wolf." She takes it, "Pathetic. and even mildly insulting you see yourself as a WHITE wolf. So very Mary Sue of you." "Give it back!" Emma tries to take it back, Amber enjoys her humiliation "You'll never be anything. Not here. Human. When I am Luna, I will make sure. Of that." Amber hisses Emma flinches. All she could do was cower down. Asking for anything else was almost a death scentence. "Leave her alone, Amber." Aiden comes out, his brown hair was loose, normally tied into a bun, but she preffered it down, showed almost a boyish charm instead of the serious boss that he was. He had piercing golden eyes, flickered brilliantly in the sunlight. A few shirt buttons were undone, his sleeves rolled up showing off a triable tattoo. He was muscular, and 6'7 almost like a greek adonis god. He was swooned over by human woman and werewolves alike. Sadly, was off the market as of last year. Amber claimed him and swooped him up. Digging her nails into him and milking him for his money. Aiden takes her drawing, he blinks. "This- is really good. Did you draw this?" She blushes "Sometimes, uhm its sort of just a hobby." "Did you see this wolf somewhere?" He asks curiously, it was so incredibly detailed he couldn't believe it was from just nothing "Err no. I mean they don't uh exist right? white wolves?" He frowns. "No." They were exitnict. But legends were told that a white wolf would also emerge when darkness between the two worlds would collide. The white wolf was a symbol of peace to come. "I dreamt it." She admitted "You-dreamt, this." He was now curious "Yeah uh few times." She said, embarassed "it seems to appear, and wanting me to follow it. But I always wake up." "Wolves are often messangers for humans in dreams." Aiden said to her, "Pay attention to it." She nods, he hands her back the sketchbook. Amber notices the way Aiden looks at her, he treats her differently than the others, even her. Jealousy hits her. "Anyway- you can go home for the day. You were working for me late on those issues." He tells her She smiles, "Thank you Alpha." "You've worked for me for three years, Emma. You can call me Aiden." Amber almost growls, at the subtle gestures and tones he was giving her. How dare he! she was his! not this insignficant tiny human! She smiles, "All right, I sent uh the emails out and copied over your schedules for the week." Amber sighs, "Well then I will be going." She gives Aiden a seering posessive kiss, making Emma squirm. She leaves, sauntering off. Aiden looks at Emma, "Don't let Amber bully you." "I'm just a Human." Emma whispers "But, you're MY human." He growls out Her heart flutters. His human. "Yes, and uh thank you Aiden." She gathers her things and leaves, He watches her intently leaving. Sometimes wondering if he made a mistake with Amber. But Human and Werewolf relationships were taboo. There were many things about Emma, she was loyal, shy, timid, she didn't have many friends, or friends at all that he was aware of. But she was undyingly loyal to him. But one fustration was, he could not smell her scent nor read her thoughts even if he tried. Her background other than academic records which were impecable were not known. Her parents were dead was all he knew. Everything else was a mystery. Emma Blake. He thinks.
