Aliya, Alex's dorm mate, walked into their room, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Hey, Alex, I saw something today that might interest you," she said, her voice low.
Alex looked up from her book. "What is it?"
Aliya settled onto her bed. "I was at the café, and I saw Stacy with Max. They were laughing and having coffee together. It looked pretty cozy."
Alex's mind began to whirl. Was Max developing feelings for Stacy? She pushed the thought aside, but Aliya's words lingered.
That evening, Alex decided to confront Max. She found him in the library, studying for an exam. "Hey, can we talk?" she asked, her heart racing.
Max looked up, concerned. "What's up, Alex?"
Alex took a deep breath. "I have to tell you something. I think I might be falling for you, Max. Hard."
Max's expression softened. "Alex, I...I care about you deeply too. But I have to admit, I've been feeling a connection with Stacy lately."
Alex's heart sank, but she tried to process her emotions.
The next day, Stacy approached Alex in the dorm lounge. "Hey, Alex, can we talk?" Alex nodded, bracing herself. "What's up, Stacy?"
Stacy hesitated. "Max confessed his feelings to me. He said he thinks he might be falling for me."
Alex felt a surge of possessiveness. "Stacy, I need to make something clear. Max and I have been growing closer, and I believe he belongs to me."
Stacy's eyes widened. "Alex, I didn't know you felt that way about him. I won't pursue him if you're interested."
Alex's tone was firm but calm. "Let's just say Max and I have a connection. I'm not going to let him go."
The Nursing department's head, Professor Thompson, walked into the lecture hall, a bright smile on her face. "Good morning, students! I'm excited to announce that our department will be participating in an interdepartmental science competition against the Computer Science department."
The room buzzed with excitement. Professor Thompson continued, "The competition will test your knowledge, skills, and teamwork. The winning team will receive a cash prize and bragging rights."
Alex and Stacy exchanged determined glances. They were ready to represent the Nursing department and bring home the win.
In their lectures, Alex and Stacy focused on their studies, determined to excel in the competition. They attended seminars on pharmacology, anatomy, and patient care, taking meticulous notes and engaging in discussions.
As the competition approached, tensions rose. Alex and Stacy's competitive spirits often clashed, causing tension between them.
The day of the competition arrived, and the auditorium was packed with students, faculty, and judges. Alex and Stacy, representing Nursing, stood confidently alongside their Computer Science counterparts.
The competition heated up, with each team showcasing their knowledge and skills. Alex and Stacy worked seamlessly together, but their misunderstandings turned into full-blown arguments during the final round.
Despite their efforts, the Computer Science team dominated the competition, leaving Nursing in second place.
After the competition, Stacy approached Max, looking concerned. "Hey, Max, can we talk?" she asked.
Max nodded, curious. "What's up, Stacy?"
Stacy hesitated. "It's about Alex. She likes you, and I don't want to break her heart. You've been spending a lot of time with her, and I think she might have feelings for you."
Max's expression turned angry. "And you expect me to leave my life based on your perception of her happiness? My relationship with Alex has nothing to do with the love I have for you, If Alex has feelings for me, that's her cup of tea
Stacy looked taken aback. "I just didn't want to hurt her, Max."
Max's tone softened slightly. "I appreciate your concern, Stacy, but I can't sacrifice my happiness for her sake ."
The conversation left Stacy feeling bothered and disturbed about her feelings for Max. Meanwhile, Alex's feelings for Max continued to grow stronger.
As the semester progressed, Alex and Max's bond deepened. They studied together, explored the campus, and shared laughter. Alex couldn't help but wonder if Max's feelings for her would eventually match hers for him. or if he had forgotten about Stacy
Hey what's up..?
Stacy's dorm mate Ana had walked in ...
Oh I'm doing good, how about you..?
I'm doing fine as well..
why do you look so lost, what's the problem..?
Stacy sighed a tear making it's way down to her face.
Gosh, stop crying.
what's the matter..?
I hate to see you crying and you know it..
it's about Alex, my best friend ..
we had been friends for a very long time now but I feel we are drifting further apart lately and I don't wanna loose her but then I have to sacrifice my love...
I like Max alot and he likes me too but Alex has feelings for him and she's made it clear that she's not letting go.
I feel torn I don't know what to do.
Clean you tears first Stacy you said Max likes you too...
Alex should know that a relationship can't be forced it will never work out.
If she's your true friend she would back down, fight for your love and don't back down no matter what...
Hmmm okay I will not back down thank you so much Ana I really appreciate Stacy said drying her tears.
Stacy thought about what Ana had said and realized she was right, she then proceeds to take her bath and have a nap.
