Cara didn’t dare come out of her room for the rest of the day, hiding her face in the tear-soaked pillow and waiting for some sign from Bradley that it was okay to come out. She didn’t know how much more pain she could handle, and she surely didn’t want to interfere with Bradley’s grieving process.
