The kids went back to school after spring break. Jonah was working daily again, now that all the sh*t with Missy was done and over with. I was working part-time from home again, so I could be with Arabella.
A few days before Illy’s birthday, Jonah received a text from Kaci asking when she could come by. She said she had news for us. It was just after the kids got home from school, so Jonah said she could come by that same day.
She showed up almost an hour later. Jonah greeted her at the front door.
“So, you folks are going to be very happy, and probably relieved,” she said.
“OK, please tell us what’s going on,” Jonah told her.
“I’ve been working hard on this and I’m happy to say that Missy’s parental rights are completely terminated,” Kaci told us happily.
