Chapter 22 Once again, the neighborhood was alive with the flashing lights of police cars and news crews scrambling to set up and get the latest breaking story. Chris shook his head as he stuffed two more shirts in his duffle bag, packing enough clothes for a few days and hoping he didn’t need more. He knew they were all safe, but his hands shook as he placed each item in the bag. Chris had told the cops how Dylan, Ron, and James were talking when two guys broke in. He didn’t want James to get in trouble by admitting that Dylan and Ron were there, and he hated that James was in the middle of this mess now, but at least they had talked.
