NEW JOB

Days turned into weeks and weeks into months and Lian lost all hope of ever seeing Cobi again, he wondered what special feelings he had for him, here he was standing in front of his apartment waiting to see if Cobi would walk out.

" Are you back?" Nick asked as he turned off the TV to face Lian,

" Is that suppose to be a question? Isn't it obvious I'm back" Lian said as he sat on the chair, he had no time for Nickolas's remarks he was in a very terrible mood

" Well now need to go all sarcastic on me, I have good news by the way" Nick said

" Which is?" Lian asked raising his eyebrows

" I got the job!!! the mail came in this morning" Nick said happily

" That's amazing, you're going to be working in the firm of your dreams, this is awesome"

" Exactly, you're looking at the latest lawyer at, Greber's law firm, I'm so excited Lian "

" You should be, now all you need to do is try not to get fired'' Lian laughed

" You can't be serious, why on Earth would I get fired, I'm going to work my ass off, trust me"

" Then learn to wake up early, I can't believe you're still asleep at 9am" Lian said

" Well, that's why I have my best friend with me, you love me too much to actually let me get fired" Nick said smiling

"Don't be shocked when I stab you in the back and make sure that you get fired without hesitation" Lian said.

" What about your application, have you got any replies yet?" Nick asked,

" Getting a job a university isn't going to be easy and you of all people should know that, I actually submitted my applications to a few university but got no reply from anyone" he spoke

" Don't worry you will soon, I don't actually like the idea of you still working in the cafe Lucas has been nice to employ you and letting you still work there and besides the money you're earning is so little and not enough" he pointed out

" That was the major reasons why I started looking for a job quickly expenses keep getting high and we need a lot of money to make sure we meet up with them" he said with a sad face.

Nicholas could tell his best friend was sad and he didn't want to push the topic any further, Lian walked away into his room still thinking about his job issue, he sat on his bed before pulling out the list of bills they had to pay.

He was a bit happy that Nick got a job but he needed to find one and fast.

The next week approached in a lot of speed, it was Nick's first day at work and just as Lian had said the previous week, he was going to definitely be fired for coming late.

Nick wasn't ready to wake up anytime soon but fortunately for him he had a best friend that cared about his ass.

Lian walked into his room watching Nick snore as his alarm rang

" He's so dumb, did he build a goddamn fence around his ears that he can't hear his alarm ring?" Lian was forced to ask himself because he really couldn't understand why his best friend was still sleeping while the alarm rang out loudly.

He sighed before going to pour a glass of cold water into a cup and coming back, he stood for a minute staring at Nick sleeping peacefully, before pouring it on his face, This was the only way to wake Nick up.

Any other moves would have been impossible

" Whathat the hell Lian!!" Nick shouted as he rose from the bed

" Good morning" Lian answered with a grin on his face.

" What was that?" Nick asked cleaning his face.

" Hmm for one, it's 6:30 a.m. in the morning, get up you have an hour to prepare for work and 30 minutes to get in there. In that case get your ass up now" he said as he stared at Nick who collapsed on the bed after hearing Lian's reason.

" It's just 6:30, can't I sleep in for 5 more minutes, I'm not going to be late" Nick said as he pulled the sheet over his head

" Nope, move it, I'm going to prepare breakfast and by the time I'm done you should also be ready because you're going to drop me off at the cafe. it's my turn to open it today and I don't want to be late" he explained referring to the cafe

" I fail to see how that has anything to do with me?" Nick asked staring at me and he was pissed that his sleep was ruined but at the same time grateful because he was going to go early to work.

" I have told you a numerous number of times, to go learn how to drive" he said directing his statement to Lian who was scared of handling the steering wheel " but no, you are too scared to even try and don't get me started on your wild and weird imaginations on how you are going to get crushed by some other car" Nick added looking at his friend as he stood up to taking off his shirt.

" Those things can actually happen, I'm just being cautious!" Lian defend

"OH please, how many times have I been crushed by a vehicle?" Nick asked

" I'm not just ready to start driving ok" he replied before turning towards the door "Don't let me come back here and still find you sleeping or else you'll be sorry" he said knowing his friend very well that he could actually go back to sleep immediately he turned his back

" Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, I wouldn't" Nick responded before taking off his clothes completely.

At 7:25am both Lian and Nick were ready to leave the house, Nick drove Lian to the cafe.

" Thank you" he appreciated as he unbuckled his seat belt.

" And also thank you for waking me up this morning, I had no idea when I would have gotten to work. I'll make sure to get you a gift on my way back" Nick said

" Really?" Lian asked in excitement

" Of course not, get your lonely ass off my car" he added laughing as he saw the look on his friend's face.

He almost got choked as Lain slapped him at the back of his head before stepping out of the car.

" Now would you get out of my face" Lian said before walking towards the cafe door

" But I still love you" Nick shouted as he drove off

" f**k you" he answered before trying to open the cafe.
