An hour had already passed and Nicholas wasn't addressed yet on how things were to be done here at the company.

He decided to text Lian just to kill time when the fair-skinned lady from earlier walked in with her secretary,

" Good morning everyone, so sorry for the delay" she apologized.

Today Mr Greber came to inspect the cases we have been handling for quite some times personally and that's why it took us long to come and address you all" she explained

" My name is Millie, I'll be your supervisor for the next two weeks.

For those of you who don't know me, I am a criminal defence attorney and I am overjoyed to be training you all this week." She paused before she continued " Each of you are to be paired up into two groups, both teams will be given a case to work on and it will be under my supervision as I earlier said" her secretary immediately passed across the file on each table as she talked

" Number two and number four are going to work together, number 3 and number 1 are going to work together also. Please go through the cases, note things you consider to be important. Both cases are more the cases that are currently about to be taken up into the law courts and if you need to go to the crime scene of the murder case, you can talk to Mr Jones, the guy you met at the front desk. Mr Jones we need your presence here" she called out

Jones immediately stood up from his station and walking into the office

" For those who doesn't know him this is Mr Jones and he'll be the one to drive you down to the scene and back, I'll be checking on your progress in the next two days, This is your official first case because you are going to be working on it together and even as the Court proceedings" Nick was so glad that he'll be to stand in a law court.

" You will choose a representative to represent the defendant in court, that will be all for today you may go home or talk about the case together good luck and welcome to Greber law firm" she addressed before walking off.

Nick couldn't help but started to feel the excitement of the case they were giving. It sounded like they were in one of those survival game shows.

Everyone got paired with their partners quickly, Nick was paired with a young lady called Perry their case was on a 27 year-old woman who was killed six months ago and buried in a shallow grave close to a river and the primary suspects of the case was boyfriend Roy, they were to defend Roy which means they had to find as many clues as possible that will vindicate him from being the murder suspect.

Nick went through the evidence given to them in the file case and just by seeing the evidence in the box you could already confirm that Roy was the killer but most cases it doesn't end up to be true. Nick had a hunch that Roy did not commit this crime, he immediately closed the case notes, talking to Perry on a more comfortable time they would meet in order to investigate more and they also decided on going to the crime scene the next day in order to inspect and find more clues.

Immediately he close he drove down to the cafe to meet up with Lian, but before then he picked up a bouquet of flowers and chocolate of chocolate for his best friend, Lian on the other hand was still working really hard.

Nelly already took cherry to work, she worked at an emergency call centre so she was allowed to take cherry along with her every day to work.

Nick worked into the cafe and ordered a cup of coffee with a browning while waiting for his best friend.

" How was your first day" Lucas asked him

" It went pretty good, I got my first case and I need to really put my best into it" he explained with a smile, Lian was happy that his friend was comfortable with his job.

" That's amazing, I hope you win this case" Lucas cheered him on

" I hope so too, I'll wait for Lian over there he pointed to a table" Lucas nodded, in a few minutes his order was delivered to him, he pulled out the case note flipping through and checking the evidence to see anything he missed, as he start drinking his coffee.

Lian was attending to the customers and forgot how hot the burner was he was about to bring down the seeds of coffee he had heated up earlier and forgot to wear something to protect his hand, he touched the handle with his bare hand immediately causing him pain and burns at the same time.

" Ouch!!" he cried out in pain

Lucas immediately stopped what he was doing and rushed over towards Lian in order to help him, he immediately put his hands under the running water.

Nicholas couldn't help but feel distracted as his best friend was helped by his boss, ever since Nick met Lucas for the first time he knew he was hopelessly in love with he's dumb best friend but Lian was blind too see it and slow to catch up with the signs.

Lian's soon ended Nick helped him carry his bags to the car because he didn't want to seem like a heartless person

" I can carry that" Lian said

" Would you just shut up, I'm trying to be nice here. You should be glad that I'm actually helping you and not asking me stupid ass questions"

" oh so you want people to think that you're a good person is that it? I don't think there's any need for you to do that because people already know what an asshole you are" he said

" That's it!!" Nick slammed the front door shut, he was opening it for Lian to get in before changed his mind.

" Open the damn door yourself" Nick said reaching his limits with his best friend as he walked towards the driver's side. Lian couldn't help but laugh, he was about to open the door when Lucas rushed out to help him

" Oh my god, not again!" He groaned whispering underneath his breath as he watched them create another scenario outside the cafe.

Lian sat down smiling

" Why don't you just date him?" Nick asked immediately Lucas return back into the cafe, he told towards his friend raising an eyebrow before starting the engine of the car.

" What? date? Who? me and Lucas. Why do you always have the wildest imaginations, Lucas is just my boss he's just a nice person and he's concerned about me unlike some fools I know"

" I can't believe you called me a fool first I was going to give you a present but now I'm not and secondly you are the biggest fool among Us here because you're too blind to see that your boss is in love with you"

" You got me a present?" Lian asked

" Yes I did but now it belongs to the trash because I'm done with you" Nick said with his eyes fired on the road he drove

" Really? you got me something?"

" Well not anymore, I want to be the bad person" he said with a frown

" I'm sorry baby" Lian said leaning towards Nick holding his arm and trying to make a cute face. " please forgive papa, it wouldn't happen ever again" he said in a cute voice

" Whatever I don't want to talk to you anymore plus you are avoiding the topic about Lucas" he knew Lian very well

" Oh Nick could you just give it a rest"

" well I'm sorry because I can't, someone who stares at you with those eyes definitely is into you" he pointed out hope Lian would get it.

" Sometimes I always start to wonder what your actual sexuality is" Lian said

" If you must know, I am Liansexual, and anything that has to do with you is my business" he said proudly.

" And how is that working out for you?" Lian asked he needed to know where this was leading to.

" Pretty well, my gorgeous friend can't get over a guy he met 5 months ago and doesn't want to open his heart to someone who clearly loves him" he said with a smile

" Why do you have to bring up Cobi?"

" Because it's true, you're just like sleeping beauty waiting for his prince"

" I'm just going to pretend you don't exist anymore" Lian placed his head by the window watching everything move.

" OMG, your majesty did I hit your nerves?"

" You're going to get the death penalty as soon as the sun rises by the morning" Lian played along.

" I got you flowers and chocolates, I know how much you love them" Nick finally said.

" Thank you"
