The next day Nick drove Lian to the cafe before finally leaving for his job, he picked up Perry before going to the prison just like Lian has suggested, the previous night.
Nick knew it was a brilliant idea but both him and Perry had to be kept waiting for about two hours due to policy at the prison, they were supposed to inform the prison days ahead before coming which they had no idea about, Roy was brought in before them in handcuffs which was later on removed by the officer before giving them some privacy to talk.
Roy was a 23 year old man, he was 4 years younger than his girlfriend
" Hello" Nick greeted with a warm smile on his face " I know you don't know us" he continued " but my name is attorney Nicholas and she's attorney Perry we're going be the lawyers handling your case" Nick addressed as he accessed Roy's aura.
He looked really scared, like he wasn't having one of the worse times of his life in prison, his eyes were sunken and pale, Nick could clearly see some bruises on his skin as well which indicated he was been maltreated. The victim came from a very influencial family they had the power to do the absolute worse to him while he was in prison.
" We came here in order to get your own side of the story and we would like to hear everything that happened the night of 16th of January and I must tell you, you have to trust us in order for us to work together, therefore there should be no secrets between us we are all trying to walk to the same goal which is bringing you out of prison or making your sentence a bit lighter than it should be, we must know absolutely everything that happened that night" he informed still observing him before pulling out his phone to take records.
