Dom and I walked into the clinic for our weekly visit with Dr. Mendoza. It’s been about a month and so far the baby is perfect, growing fast.
We went into the room and I laid on the chair as usual, last week the baby was about the size of an apple.
Dr. Mendoza came in and smiled
“Hello my little fox, looks like you starting to round out a bit now since last week.”
She pulled up my shirt and gently rubbed my belly, it was starting to round out a bit. I noticed my jeans were starting to get a bit snug the last few days, almost time for dresses and yoga pants.
She put the cold gel on my belly and glided the wand around,
“Wow, the baby is now about the size of a grape fruit.”
Her face was confused, which made me worried
“Is something wrong?”
I started to panic,
“No no it’s just the baby is growing very fast, faster then normal. Other then that the baby is perfect, no abnormalities or deformities.”
Dominic held my hand and kissed it,
“Hear that, he’s perfect just like you.”
I nodded my head.
We left the clinic,
“So now that your getting.... bigger. We’re going to have to make an announcement, we can do it before or after the haze.”
Dom said placing his free hand on my belly.
I forgot about the haze coming
“Right the haze, let’s do it after that way everyone is relaxed and satisfied when we announce about the baby.”
He rubbed my belly
“We’ll have a party.”
I took a deep breath, I don’t know how the pack is going to react to this. I mean they just started getting use to me being their Alphas mate now we have to tell them I pregnant with a cross breed.
We pulled up to the house,
“I’ll get everybody together to get the planing started, I’ll meet you at dinner.”
He kissed me then ran down the hall.
I sighed, I hate being the center of attention and now it feels like that all I am now.
I walked up to the bedroom and got undressed, I walked into the bathroom. I ran the jacuzzi tub with some jasmine bubble bath soap, I slowly stepped in the tub. The hot water was soothing but the jets were loud, I shut them off.
It was silent, I rested my head back and closed my eyes.
I felt the water move, Dom must be done going over the party plan.
“You finish the party planning already?”
No answer, I lifted my head to look at him.
Horror filled my body,
“Shia.”
She sat the opposite of me smiling, her red hair was matted with black tar. Her once golden brown eyes were black with tar oozing out of them, her teeth were black and so was the inside of her mouth. Her skin was grey and lifeless.
“Hello foxy.”
Her voice was raspy and low, I took a breath to scream for Dom.
In a flash she was straddling me with her hand over my month, the tips of her fingers were ooze covered claws.
“Shhh ssshh, I just want to talk to you. No need for the King Alpha, no I want to talk to the Arctic Fox.”
She kept her hand over my mouth, her skin smelt dusty and rotten.
“Sorry for the way I look, it was part of the witches deal. I hear your carrying the King Alpha’s baby and I also know this child is the dawn of the new age. I honestly can give two shits about the little brat, the witches want him for some ancient prophecy. No I want something else, I want the King Alpha’s power.”
I looked at her confused, she giggled at me.
“So hears my deal, if you hand over the Alpha and the baby no one has to die. But if you don’t,”
She slowly removed her hand and got inches away from my face,
“I’ll kill every last person, but I’ll save your beloved Alpha last so he can watch as I rip the baby from your womb. And after he watches you bleed to death, he can watch as the witches take over the baby’s body. Then I’ll rip his throat out like he did my father.”
She whispered lightly kissing my lips.
“Hey foxy, do you want to have blue balloons or pretend we don’t know the gender and do pink and blue.”
Dom walked, she was gone disappeared.
I was frozen.
“Aroura, you ok? What’s on your lips?”
He knelt down next to me, I managed to take my hand and wipe my mouth.
Black ooze, my heart stopped.
“Shia, she was here.”
Was all I was able to whisper.
Anger filled Dom’s face
“How the f**k did she slip past everyone, I have 5 around the clock guards. There’s no way she got past unnoticed.”
I stood up
“The witches, they did something to her.”
I got out of the tub and grabbed my towel.
He looked at me confused
“What do you mean did something to her?”
I shook my head
“She had this black ooze all over, her skin smelt like musky and rotten. She looked half dead, she told me the witches want our son for a prophecy, do you think it’s the same prophecy from your dream?”
He shrugged
“Possible, I have the Elders looking deeper in to this Rise of the Dhole so far nothing has came up. From now on your not to leave my sight, I’ll take you to every Alpha meeting if I have to.”
I shook my head
“You know I can’t go to those, I can have Carly keep me company while your at your meeting.”
I hugged him
“I promise I’ll stop that b***h, if it’s the last thing I’ll do.”
I shook my head
“We have to stop her and the witches before Alexander is born.”
He hugged me tight
“We will.”
I got dressed and we went down for dinner, Dom called the elders to join us to talk about my in counter with Shia.
One of the elder, Victor, had some news
“I did find something Alpha, Dhole is a half fox half wolf mythological creature that possesses special powers. It was said they were fair and kind creatures until the dark arts captured them and used them for their powers, which in return made them the most deadly creatures causing them to be extinct. Was known as just a myth until now.”
So that why the witches want my son, for his power.
I put down my fork, I couldn’t eat.
“I’m going to lay down.”
Dom jumped up
“Are you ok?”
I nodded my head
“Yea it’s just a lot to take in, you stay here and talk more with the elders. Carly can come with me and keep me company.”
As if she heard me she skipped in the dining room smiling with Jace
“We have a lead.”
Jace said
Dom nodded
“Good Jace sit with me and the elders and we’ll talk, Carly you go with Aroura. Do not let her out if your sight.”
Carly nodded and we went up stairs.
DOMINIC
I watched as Carly and Aroura end up stairs, I sat back down at the table to listen to Jace
“So what did you find?”
He stuffed a roll in his mouth
“Well after looking deeper at the abandoned camps I noticed there was a faint black ooze tracks it took awhile but I followed it to the edge of the deep forest, to the f*******n part.”
I nodded
“I should have known Shia and her witches were in the f*******n part of the forest.”
The f*******n part is full of evil and dark magic.
“We need to strike now while we have the numbers, we can’t wait any longer. They have to eliminate them before my son is born.”
I said walking to the window.
“But the troops aren’t quite ready yet, they still need work.”
Jace said standing up.
“You have 3 weeks, no more. Then we March to the f*******n forest and destroy these bitches once and for all.”
I said turning to look at him.
He nodded and bowed, he left the room.
I turned to the elders
“Can you figure out a way to destroy Shia and her witches magic, I have a feeling we’re going to need more then our strength to win this battle.”
The elders nodded
“We will get on that right away Alpha.”
And they left the room.
Now I was alone, I went to my office to come up with a plan and a strategy to get though the f*******n forest.
