The Alpha's Niece and Her Mate

Chapter 3

I woke up early the next day and get ready for school. It's going to be a long day. Yesterday I learned a lot about my family. I was confused at first. I didn't understand at all. But last night I had a dream about the crash. I saw it all happen again. I woke up crying and screaming. My Aunt came in and woke me.

I told her what I remember, “I saw the big wolf jump out in front of the car. Dad swerved to miss it. We flipped and flipped till we ended up in a ditch upside down.” I told her as I cried. She held me and patted my hair like my mom used to.

Before I went down to breakfast my uncle came to see me. He told me that the crash wasn't an accident, that the wolf I saw was a werewolf that my dad's sent and thought he was a roge. “What's a roge?” I ask. “ A werewolf without a pack.” he answers. “But my dad wasn't a rogue, he was part of this pack,” he continues.

“I have to go or I'll be late on my first day. Can we talk after I get home?” I ask. “Yes of course. Have a good first day and get breakfast on your way out.” he tells me. “ Yes sir” I answered. I walked out of my room and headed down and met with Renee.

“Are you ready for your first day?” she asks. “ As ready as I’ll ever be” I respond. I got a plate of pancakes and eggs and bacon with orange juice. We eat in peace and quiet. At least until Connor comes and sits with us. We just looked at him. “What?” he says. “Nothing.” we answered. Then I asked him “why are you sitting here? Shouldn't you be sitting with your fan club or your team mates?” “Sorry” he replies and then gets up and moves.

I look at Renee. “That was weird. I wonder what that was about” I tell her. “I don't know” she answers “he hasn't sat with me in years not since he became the cool kid and I became a nerd.”   Just a few minutes later it was time to go. As we walked out I bumped into a guy. “Sorry I wasn't watching where I was going.” I say. He turns around and smiles. “Hey Bonnie, it's ok, it was totally my fault.” I looked to see who knew my name. “Oh hey Adam. Again I'm sorry I was just talking toRenee and wasn't looking.” I say. “It's ok. Do y'all want a ride to school with me that way yall dont have to take the bus?” He asks. “Sure I answer for both of us.

We climbed into his car. Which is a ‘65 Ford Mustang candy apple red with a white interior. I just stood there with my mouth open for just a minute. I mean this car was beautiful. A very nice restored classic car. “OMG I am in love with your car” I tell him as I rub my hand on the dash. “Thanks. I rebuilt it with my dad.” He says. As we are leaving I feel like someone is watching me, I look over to see Connor just staring at me. 

I keep watching him as Maddison comes up to him and wraps her arms around his waist. At that point I look away. We talk all the way to school. I asked Adam if he has found his mate, he says no cuz he is still only 17 but his birthday is tomorrow  so he hopes to find him before school. And he talks about how he can't wait. 

When we get to school Renee and I thank him for the ride. As we walk away Renee says, “I think Adam is my mate.” “OMG how can you tell?” I ask. “He smells so good and my wolf is going crazy. But I will have to wait and see at breakfast tomorrow. I can't wait. I hope he doesn't reject me” she says. I tell her it will be fine. And he kept glancing at her so I think he might like her.

She takes me to the office to get my class schedule and locker number. Then shows me where my locker is while she looks at my schedule. “We have 1st, 4th and PE together.” she says. So after I put my bag in my locker we walked to 1st class. I was so nervous at first. But when I wandered in and saw it was math I relaxed. Renee introduced me to Mrs. Anderson, the teacher. “Here is the book that you will need. Please sit in any empty desk u can find” she says. I went to the back and sat with Renee.

After 1st class the rest of the morning went by so quickly. Before I knew it it was lunch time. I walked into the cafeteria and got in line to get my food. I looked around and found Renee sitting with Adam at a table waiting for me. I went and sat down. As I sat I heard a high pitched squeal. It was maddison “what are you doing sitting here” she asked Adam. “I'm eating my lunch. Why?” he asks her. “ You should be sitting with us, not the rejects.” 

“I'm happy with where I am at. Thanks though.” he tells her as he turns around and goes back to eating. After lunch it was just as fast. I completed most of the work at my old school so I knew a lot of the work already. But I didn't tell the teachers that. I just took notes and doodled in my notebook.

When it was time to leave I had some homework but nothing I couldn't handle. As I walked to my locker to get what I needed as well as my bag I found Adam and Renee waiting on me to take me home. We get to the pack house, grab a snack and go to my room to study. On the way there we ran into my aunt. “Hi Bonnie, how was school?” she asks. “It was good. We are going to my room to study.” I told her. Renee and Adam bow their heads and say “Luna '' at the same time to show my aut respect. “Run along and I'll see you at dinner.” she says. “Yes Luna/ma’am” we say at the same time.

Adam looks at me when we get back to my room. “Why didn't you bow your head and talk to her respect?” Adam asks. “You know you can get in trouble for that?” “No I didn't know. And she is my aunt and Alpha is my uncle.” I told him. He is shocked at first but then is looking at me like I'm just the coolest kid ever.
