The prophecy

Queen Esther has been recently having nightmares, where a very fair and beautiful lady took away her treasure and pushed her to the dust. You're nothing but a useless Queen, I gave what you can't give, the woman said to her, spitefully. Queen Esther had had the same dream more than twice but in different ways. All of the dream pointing to her childlessness and her position as the Queen being shaky.

She silently hope and prayed that her husband was telling her the truth. The King immediately signaled the butler to leave them alone so as to talk to his wife privately. The butler left immediately giving them the privacy they wanted.

My Queen, King Nicholas called out to his wife, his could and icy self was soften . I love you despite all odds. And I would forever be yours, King Nicholas said taking his wife's palm into his. He gently caress her palm and fingers as if it would break if he didn't hold them with care.

You're my first love and would always be, he said softly. I'm considering taking a mistress to give us a son, he blunted out urgently. We really need to produce a son urgently. You already know about the prophecy and the time given was almost gone, he said trying hard to hide his frustration. And I can't allow another to father the child of prophecy it's already four years after the prophecy and this year will bring the prophecy to a halt. The prophecy was destined to happen this year and that would be the end, he said trying to convince his wife, Queen Esther.

The son of the prophecy must come from my loins, King Nicholas said to his wife, Queen Esther firmly. My King, she bow slightly in agreement. She was indeed confused on what else to do, to be able to conceive and bear a son for the King. She also wants to be privileged to bear the precious child of prophecy. She sighed, stood up and bow slightly, My King, I beg to retire to my chambers now, she said respectfully.

King Nicholas watched as his wife, Queen Esther retired to her chambers. As her figure disappeared from the throne room. He exhaled deeply. He was so frustrated on what to do. On one side, he was desperate for a son and wouldn't mind getting it anywhere as far as he was to father the child. And the other hand, he didn’t want to hurt his wife. He loved her alot and didn't want to be the source ad her misery. He had seen her countless times in a moody state, he knew it was because of their childlessness and she have always pretended to be strong but in reality she was not, and it bleeds his heart whenever he saw her in that mood. He’s reluctant to hurt her even more for she was hurting already.

The prophecy was indeed a very mysterious and delicate one. It was the most difficult to figure out and confused prophecy. The whole kingdom anticipated for the fulfillment of the prophecy.

The underground world which includes the witches, demons of different species, the stragons that feeds on maggot, the dragon fires, the sorcerers, the enchanters, the magus and among others was also anticipating for the coming of the child of prophecy.

The witches were divided into two, the white witches and the dark witches. The white witches were the good witches. They are also called the pure witches. They believe in purity and sanctification. They practice magic for the greater good of all and with harm to none. They are healers with special connection to nature.

Their belief is that, they can create change in their lives and in the lives of others. White witches take special care to follow a moral code reminiscent of the Wiccan rede. Because they were pure, their magic is so powerful and unique.

The Black or dark witches are the cruel, wicked, arrogant and heartless of them. They are very selfish and seek for destruction always. They have little regards for humans. And they seek to be in control all the time.

Stragon is a semi-demon-like creature. It feeds on maggots and human blood. It's a myth that was thought to be in existence centuries ago. It's evil and dangerous to the core. It was said that some stragons species are mysterious and posses strange power.

A stragon has an oval face, like the shape of an egg. It ears are square in shape, with a big round eyes, complete black in colour. It's nose is a bit flattened. It has no neck. The head is directly stuck with the thin grey body. It has a snake-like shaped tongue. It has a very sharp triangular shaped teeth. It has a tiny hands and legs.

Legend said that the stragons decided to erase the human race from the face of the earth. They lunch an attack but the humans fought back and with the help of the gods, the humans were able to defeat them, but unknown to humans a female stragon survived the war and went into extension. No one knew where it was hiding.

The prophecy came many years ago before King Nicholas became the King of Wessex Kingdom.

It was prophesied by a power blind sorcerer from the kingdom of Kent, that a seed would sprang up in the kingdom of Wessex. He would become a great sun that would bind the seven kingdoms together and become one new kingdom.

He would posses a very powerful and strange power. His power wouldn't be the greatest power ever existed in the history of all the kingdoms. He would command both the living and the dead.

Creatures from the underworld; enchanters, sorcerers, spell casters, demons, witches, stragons, warlock, magus shamans, and among others would fear and tremble at the mention of his name. They would shiver at his command and would be at his command.

The good part of the prophecy was that, he would unit the seven kingdoms and bring peace to all kingdoms. He would create a new kingdom that would be free of war and evil. He would eradicate all his enemies, he would crush the heads of all who stood against him. No one would be afraid.

The evil par of his power was that any creature from the underworld who was able to posses his power would become immortal and posses the greatest power ever existed.

The creatures from the underworld has been waiting anxiously for the fulfillment of the prophecy.

Some were positive about the prophecy. They believe that the prophecy have brought hope to them and he would bring unity and peace both to the world seven kingdoms and the underworld.

They were anticipating for the new kingdom where the seed become the great King that would create a war-free and peaceful kingdom.

Some evil ones who were greedy and selfish decided to covert the power for themselves and become the most powerful and immortal.

The prophecy was told and retold as a result the original version was missed among the seven kingdoms. King Nicholas was among those who missed the original version of the prophecy.

He believed the version that says, within the four years of the reign of each King, the King on the throne must produce the heir who would be the child of the gods (the child of prophecy), and after four years, if he didn't produce a heir, he would automatically lose the honor of conceiving the child of the gods, it wouldn't be moved to the next kingdom after him.

The truth is that, the prophecy came on its own without time and date of fulfillment. And therefore, no one knew the exact King in Wessex Kingdom that would conceive the heir to the throne of Wessex and the son of the gods.
