The Abused Mate

Chapter 8

Anna's POV:

I couldn't believe I was an alpha. I had heard rumors of a female being able to become one, but no one thought it was possible. I looked at Damon and gave him a quick kiss.

"What exactly does this mean for us?" I asked.

"Well, it means that alot of things are going to be changing at the pack house, that's for sure. Ha. But seriously, we are going to butt heads, and fight and try to make things go one way, but it could be the opposite. You are so sweet, and kind, and despite everything that has been thrown at you, you are still smiling, still living, still trying. I am already falling in love with you so fast." He replied.

"You said Nova looks just like Cole, just opposite eye marks. And she said her eyes are red."

"Nova is spectacular. And you are blessed with a gift, like me, but you have five. I can see into someones soul, which is how I brought you back, and you already discovered one."

"I did?" I asked.

"Whenever you shift back, you have clothes on. You have a bra and underwear on right now, did you imagine that?"

"I know whenever anyone shifts back, they are naked. I couldn't bare the thought ever and I thought if I imagined myself atleast with that on, it would make me feel a little better."

I was so embarassed by all the scars and marks that I had on my body, I didn't want Damon to think my body was hideous or gross. I didn't want him to reject me after he saw me nude. Dr. Kristen and Ruby were already down in the yard running toward us, I didn't know where Matt went to. Ruby handed me a shirt and sweat pants and Damon was given a button up and jeans.

"How about we go inside and check your vitals and make sure everything is good after that. You did shift very fast, but you are an alpha. You could be good as new." Dr. Kristen said. Before we could take a step, Matt came outside with another man singing happy birthday and a birthday cake with lit candles. Everyone joined in and I blew out the candles.

"Anna, this is my other brother Elijah. He had some business in another state to take care of, but he got back a couple hours ago. I asked him to get you this. I hope red velvet is okay?" Damon said.

"Red velvet is my favorite!" I yelled. I looked at Elijah and thanked him and everyone for the birthday cake. Back to reality as we went inside and made our way back to the hospital ward.

I climbed up on the table and sat back, never breaking eye contact with Damon. He could tell I was scared so he grabbed my hand. Those sparks I would never grow tired of.

"Are you ready?" Dr. Kristen asked.

"As ready as I'll ever be." I replied.

She looked at Damon, and he shook his head. He squeezed my hand as she lifted my legs up on the holders again. I tenses as I awaited the camera that she was going to put inside me. After Hunter took me again, he did even more damage. Dr. Kristen took the camera out after a couple minutes. She looked stunned and asked to talk to Damon outside the room. Ruby, Matt and Elijah were outside waiting and Damon sent them in to keep me company. After what seemed like an eternity, Damon and Dr. Kristen came back in. Everyone left quickly, not saying a word, and Damon took my hand.

"Anna, it seems as though all of your wounds and internal injuries as well have healed and disappeared. It wasn't just your scars that went away. Everything went away. You have everything back that was taken from you." She said looking at me with tears in her eyes.

I looked at Damon who shook his head holding back tears as well.

"You mean, I'm new again? Like really? It's like nothing ever happened?" I asked.

"It appears that way sweetie." Damon said.

"Can I talk to Dr. Kristen for a second? Alone? And no listening or ease dropping."

Damon simply nodded and kissed my forehead. He left the room leaving just me and her alone.

"You said it's like nothing ever happened? Do you mean that as in, like down there is good, or like its brand new, like "new" if you know what I mean." I asked.

She started to giggle, "If you are asking if you have your virginity again, then yes, you actually do. It's crazy how the moon goddess works, but this wasn't her plan for you, and she made sure she fixed it."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I asked Nova to reach out to Cole, and she said just said Damons name in my mind, like I'm calling out to him.

"Damon?"

"Hey babe, are you ready for me to come back?"

"Yes, I'm ready."

Soon as we cut off, he was back in the room. Dr. Kristen smiled at Damon and shook his hand. She said her goodbyes and I got off the bed. Matt, Ruby and Elijah joined us outside the room.

"Well baby, it's your birthday and you can shift. We can do whatever you want tomorrow, sound good?" Damon asked.

"I'm not tired, I want to explore. Like now." I said laughing.

Damon looked at me smiling, and then looked at everyone else. Everyone smiled back at him and he took my hand. He led me downstairs and through the house to the backyard. It was huge and surrounded by weeping willows and it had two ponds with koi fish in it.

"We own 500 acres, so we can shift and go as far as we want to. The skirting of the property is marked with a huge brick wall so we don't ever have to worry about outsiders or humans seeing us. Let me show you all the good spots." Damon said softly in my ear.

"The good spots huh?" I asked playfully. I pushed him away and attemped to shift. I jumped off the ground and within seconds, Nova was in control. Everyone stood around shocked, no one more then Damon. He came over and rubbed her head. He quickly shifted and now we were one.

We glanced over to watch the others shift, I was excited to see what their wolves looked like. Ruby was first, then Matt then Elijah last.

Ruby's wolf was named Pearl, slightly smaller then Cole. She was gray with black spots and she had green eyes.

Matt was next and his wolf was named Draco. He was red with brown feet and tail. He had golden eyes and they were mesmerizing.

Elijah was last and his wolf was almost the same size as Cole. He was intimidating. His name was Frag, and he was all black and had piercing black eyes. Cole threw his head up and everyone howled except us. I was an alpha apparently so I didn't feel a need or pull to respond, and that got me looks from everyone including Damon and Cole.

They nudged me with their snout and we all started running. We ran for what seemed like hours until we came to a clearing, it was completely open and we were on top of a cliff. It was over looking a huge lake and the moonlight illuminated everything for what seemed like miles. I stood beside my mate, our wolves embracing each other, overlooking the view and thought to myself, " This is going to be an adventure." Little did I know someone was watching us, waiting for their moment.
