CHAPTER ONE
Sunday evening on the fourteenth floor of Camellia Hotel, Nori was listening to “Elements by John Howell” and feeling it too while doing her homework. She was also lowkey basking in the joy of being in her last year of high school. There was a knock on the door, but she didn’t hear it with her headphones blasting on full volume. After two more bangs the door was finally opened. Nori had finally taken off her headphones and gave Calista a look that said “what’s up.” Callista rolled her eyes at her and said daddy’s calling you, then walked away.
In the living room, Vincent was scrolling through business news and pressed a button on the table. Almost immediately a man who looked to be in his mid-forties with light brown eyes, brown hair, a well kept beard wearing a black British butler livery came into the room and said, “Yes, Master Vincent.”
“Arthur, bring me the documents I brought home yesterday,” Vincent said.
“Yes, Master Vincent,” Arthur replied before leaving to get the documents.
Nori walked into the room shortly afterwards. She glanced at him and said “Good morning to you Arthur-kun,” with a mischievous look on her face. He answers “Ohayo gozaimasu, Nori chan.” Her smile fell and she looked defeated as she asked, “Is there a language you don’t speak?” Arthur patted her head, smiled knowingly and walked away.
“Good morning, Dad,” she said, plopping down next to Vincent and giving him a light hug which he returned.
“I see you’ve been watching more anime. How’s preparation for your exams?” Vincent asked.
“It’s going fineee. I’m going to the library with Goodness later.”
“That’s good. Have fun,” Vincent said.
“Kay, Dad,” Nori replied as she skipped back upstairs.
Meanwhile, on another floor of the hotel, Callista sat in front of her desk, nodding to herself while scribbling some things down in a notebook. She did so continuously for about 30 minutes. She then exited the app and sent a text that said, “Ladies meet me at the school basketball court" and switched off her phone. She took of her top revealing a slim and toned belly, and walked into the bathroom.
