Chapter Two

640 Words
We pulled up to the school and gaped at how large it was. Saint Mary was a moderate size but compared to this, it was minuscule. This is intense. I hope I don't get lost. Haverton High School was a two story building with large glass windows making up the exterior of almost every room. I knew it was large but I hadn't imagined it would be to this magnitude.       I cleared my throat and looked at my brothers in the front seats, "Let's do this boys." They nodded and we got out of the car, walking across the lot and the circular driveway. "Game faces." I whispered to myself, low enough that even my brothers wouldn't hear me and opened the large double doors. To my right was an office with bold black letters reading "Administration". My brothers and I headed in that direction. I could feel eyes on me as I walked across the rounded open room but all I could focus on was the large staircase and skylight above me. This place is insane. Who would have guessed a hick town like this would have such an elaborate and expensive school?      The blonde behind the counter beamed at me, "Hi there darlin', what can I do for ya?" American southerners... I hate that accent so much. I thought to myself bitterly. I miss Russia.     "Hello, my name is Elizabeth Ivashkov. These are my brothers Godric and Nicolai."     "Oh my, yes! The new students. Alright hunny, I got your schedules right- oh... there must be some mistake. All three of you have senior class schedules. Hm.. This can't be right." She tapped one slender finger to her chin and rummaged through a pile of papers with her other hand.      "No, it's correct. My brothers and I are triplets." I stated.      "I see. Well then, here are y'all's schedules. My name is Miranda. Just let me know if y'all need anything at all darlin'." She hit me with a movie star smile again and I nodded my head, pivoting on my heel to leave the office.      Once back in the two story entry, I looked at the boys. "Your schedules darlin'." I drawled with a smile.      "Do not mock, Ellie. We need to fit in here. You know how pissed dad is going to be if we get kicked out of another school." My smile quickly fell and I gave my full attention to my class schedule.     "Looks like I'm off to pre-calc with Ms. Corris. See you guys later." I blew them a kiss and walked in the opposite direction of the staircase. Alright Ellie, room 122. You can do this. Room 122. I looked to my left and right as I walked the long hallway until I finally came to room 122. A bell rang overhead and kids in the hallways started to enter their own classrooms. I took a deep breath and walked in. So far, there were only about 9 students in the room and every single pair of eyes were on me. As always…     The teacher cleared her throat and smiled at me. "You must be my new student." I nodded my head and looked straight in front of me. "Would you like to introduce yourself?" She asked me hesitantly.      "I am Elizabeth Ivashkov." I straightened my spine and met her eyes. That's all there was to me, at least all these people need to know of me. I was already exhausted having all of these people watching me but I knew I needed to push on. For my brothers and for my dad.      "Alright, thank you Elizabeth. You may take the seat right there in front." She pointed between two boys, one of which wouldn't make eye contact with me, the other wouldn't stop staring at me. Great... This should be fun.
