Chapter 23
Jen and I sat talking as we had lunch together. Rather than talking about all the hell that was beginning to break loose in my life, we talked about everyday things and she filled me in on what I'd been missing with Jake and Eric as well. After we ate, we decided to go and do a small spot of shopping until Eric called Jen and told her that he'd come and pick her up as he needed her for something. I waited with Jen out front of the shop we'd been in. After Eric picked her up, I headed back to my car with the bag that had the new red dress I'd bought. I got to my car and put my bag in the car as I heard a yell of someone calling my name. I shut the boot and looked around and I found Jake jogging across the car park towards me. I laughed a little and then leaned on the boot of the car and
