Breaking news : A man's dead body has been found near an abandoned toy factory on the West Side of the town. It is believed that he was struck by the unexpected lightning which also caused power outages on the whole west side of the town. Aynor town's West Side is mainly the place of gangsters and poor people. People living there reported that they saw a lightning flash and suddenly everything went dark. The police are trying their best to find the man's identity as soon as possible. While the news was playing on the radio, there was a 20-year-old girl sitting on the floor of her shabby two-bedroom house whose floors were pulled up, paint was peeling off and the shutters were crooked, wearing worn and dirty clothes, terrified and shivering continously looking at the gold ring in her finger without even blinking. While thinking about how in one night she became a murderer from just a poor girl. Elysia was an ordinary girl who lived with her father. Her mother died while giving birth to her, so her father hired a nanny to take care of her when he was at work. Elysia's father was a renowned scientist of the country. He even had his own personal lab to do his research. Despite his busy schedule, since childhood Elysia's father had spoiled her with all the love and riches, but also taught her self-respect and morals. Finally, the day Elysia was waiting for to arrive. It was her 10th birthday. She quickly woke up and started running towards her father's room, but to her surprise, he was not inside the room. Then she saw a white envelope kept on the bed along with a little box. She then picked up the letter and started reading it. Dear Elysia, I am so sorry that I am not able to be with you on such a special day. You know how I have spent years working on my research but suddenly something went wrong with it and I needed to look over it. You don't have to worry as everything will be alright and I will come back by evening and then we will celebrate your birthday together. There is also something special for you in the box which you should never take off. I also want you to remember that you should never give up, no matter how hard the situation is, and always remember that I am with you even when I am physically not present. Happy Birthday!! My precious daughter. Your dad. After reading the letter, she quickly opened the gift and saw a sparkly gold ring. She wanted to wear the ring but it was too big for her little fingers, so she quickly went to her room and got a chain and then attached the ring to the chain and wore it around her neck. The time flew by so fast that it was evening now. Elysia's whole house was decorated with balloons and there was a beautiful cake kept on the table. She was also ready in her pink gown, looking like a fairy , waiting for her father to come home while her nanny was trying to call her father but his phone was not reachable. It was now 11 o'clock but there was no news from her father. Her nanny even tried to call the laboratory but no one received the call. Then suddenly, the door bell rang. They all ran towards the door thinking that Elysia's father had finally arrived. When Elysia's nanny opened the door she saw two police officers standing there. When she asked them what was the reason for their late night visit ,they told her about the huge explosion which took place at the laboratory. Many people had lost their lives, whereas some people were fighting for their lives.They also told her that they had not been able to find Elysia's father but they believed that he must have been burned to ashes as he was in the same room where the explosion took place as reported by some workers. After hearing all this, Elysia's nanny panicked as to what was now going to happen to Elysia and what she was even going to tell a little girl ,who was waiting for her father to celebrate her birthday. Little did she know Elysia, who had already heard everything , not being able to handle everything, was lying unconscious in the middle of their living room.
