Departure

Long Yun quickly returned to his room and started packing his belongings. He packed everything neatly as this was a habit of his for staying in the army for so long.

A member of the team ‘Ragnarok’ suddenly noticed him packing and came to him running.

“Do we have a new mission boss?”

“No, I’m just going for a vacation.”

“Really boss? Are you assigned on a solo mission again?”

Wang Ritian was not talking on a whim. There were times when Long Yun was sent to solo missions which were very dangerous for even the whole ‘Ragnarok’ team but the ‘Lone Wolf’ came back with only some minor injuries. This shows how capable he was and everyone in the team unquestioningly took him as their leader even though he was so young.

“This time I’m going on a vacation in Donghai City. To enjoy the city life and maybe pick up a few beautiful girls.”

“Boss, when you get some beautiful chicks don’t forget about us brothers.”

“Keep a few ladies for us boss. Don’t hog all of them for yourself.”

The other guys as soon as they heard he was leaving came running in his direction and began teasing him. This shows how they value their comradeship.

“When we get a leave we’ll come to see you in Donghai City boss.”

“Cheh! If I meet anyone of you boorish guys outside I’d act like I don’t even know any of you or else all the beautiful girls will run away knowing I’m acquainted with you guys.”

Before joining the army Long Yun knew very fewer people as General Wudi would always emphasize his training as he was a very talented and gifted martial artist. For his hard work and talent and also Long Wudi’s mentoring Long Yun’s strength has reached such a realm which people would never believe to be possible even if they were told.

As he never had any friends other than his sister Long Xue; so he always took his comrades very sincerely after entering the military. Even though it was hard at fast as how can these veterans older than him acknowledge him as their leader! But he proved himself with his strength and gradually their comradeship grew going through several life and death missions.

“Don’t slack off in your training just because I’m not here. See you later.”

Greeting his teammates Long Yun crossed the main gate of the military base and got on the jeep.

“Major Yun sir. General Wudi prepared a flight for you to the capital which will be leaving in an hour.”

“That old man even estimated the time I’d need to say goodbye and leave the base. (sigh) Maybe it’s still too early to think that I understand how the old man thinks.”

“Then what are you waiting for? Take me to the airport.”

“Yes sir.” The sergeant started sweating profusely. He just got distracted for a moment hearing Long Yun call the General ‘Old Man’. Long Yun was not so kind towards others in the base as he is towards his comrades. It can be said that you needed to earn his respect for him to acknowledge you.
