Noah

Jordan, Amber, and Maia smiled wide. “I knew it,” Maia said. “Don’t do anything we would make fun of you about,” Jordan teased. Clarke burst into the room before anyone could say anything else. She ran up to Charlie and I and held onto our legs, one with each little hand. Her parents came in after her and invited us all out to lunch. Jordan, Amer, and Maia hurried out of the room, but Charlie and I lingered. "I love you," Charlie whispered in my ear. "Love you, too," I whispered back. "You two love each other!" Clarke exclaimed, then letting go of our legs and running out of the room. We hurried to follow the others to the restaurant across the street. We were starving. We ordered everything we possibly could. I sat beside Charlie and Jordan, both of which were big eaters. We were going to be sharing all of our plates, so it was going to be a battle to make sure I got enough food for myself. “Girls, before we eat, I’d like to discuss something with you,” our agent said as the food arrived. “Really great timing,” I joked, mouth watering. “This better be important,” Jordan added.   "I would like for the girls to move here together," he announced. From across the table, Amber almost did a spit take. Maia looked as if all of her prayers had been answered. Jordan dropped her fork and knife. Charlie and I were squeezing each other's hands underneath the table with joy. Our families’ jaws collectively dropped. "Are you serious right now?" Amber asked. "Yes, of course. I've already found a lovely beach house that I'd like to show you after our meal," he said. The girls and I were all so excited. Living together in L.A. in a beach house? Who wouldn't want that? Everything about this just felt so surreal. These past few weeks were a dream that just kept on getting better and better. “Guess what?” Clarke piped in. “What?” Maia asked. “Noah and Charlie love each other!” she exclaimed. "Of course they love each other, they're dating," Jordan said before putting her hand over her mouth in shock, realizing we had yet to come out to our families. Everyone went silent. Charlie’s parents were clearly shocked. My dad was taken aback, but my mom squeezed his hand to let him know she knew. No one seemed to be upset, which was a good sign. Their expressions showed merely surprise. Jordan was taking in everyone’s expressions with me. She leaned over and apologized to Charlie and I, breaking the silence. "No need to apologize, now we know and that's okay. Just don't tell the fans, they’ll go insane," our agent said. Just like that, everyone started talking again. This sort of relieved me, yet at the same time made me very nervous. It felt too normal; like everyone was both accepting and avoiding the matter at hand. Despite this, lunch soon ended and our agent took us to the place he had in mind for us. Beautiful. That was the only way to describe the place. Everything about it was dreamlike. There was even one room that I felt like I remembered from an actual dream I had, but I couldn’t be sure. Our agent ironed out the details with us. Of course, we couldn’t live on our own entirely. He strongly urged our families to consider moving to L.A. with us. If this was the plan we wanted to pursue, our agent would allow for the time in our schedules. Everyone agreed to take the time to consider the option. My dad came up to me as we left the mansion to head back to the hotel.  "I want to talk to you alone, is that okay?" my dad asked. I nodded as I let go of Charlie's hand, which I had been holding the entire afternoon, and followed my dad to the car. "Noah, look. I was really not expecting you dating Charlie," my dad started slowly. Quickly, I began to feel a little nervous. What if my dad didn't accept me? What if my dad wanted Charlie and I to break up? Sure, I had only started dating Charlie about a week before, but I couldn't break up with her. I just couldn't. Although, was I really ready to go against my family? "Right now, I don't really know what to say, but I want my daughter to be happy. So if being with a girl makes you happy, I'm okay with that," he said. I smiled at this. "Thanks dad," I told him as I kissed him on the cheek.
