A First Shift

Unknown POV

The future queen was going to shift for the first time tonight.  I needed to tell my master because he wasn’t going to be happy to hear this.  Our troops were no where ready to attack the pack and if she shifted then we will as good as lost the battle before it even begun.  Also, she already had her pup.  It’s a male and it was born in it’s wolf form.  We are so f****d if that baby lives to see his age of majority.  I overheard the former Luna of Alpine Woods telling the Princess that she was also born that way.  Thankfully for us Lucia doesn’t know what that means but it won’t be long before she completely understands the implications of this.  Nobody knows what her powers will be exactly but if the prophecy holds true she will hold a great power that will stop anyone from causing harm to any supernatural.  Master doesn’t want her killed he wants her on our side.  He wants her power for his own use.  He’s also fallen for her.  If that f*****g i***t Anthony would have used his head then we would have had her in our grasp but no he had to go and f**k it up.  Not only did he lose his temper and almost kill her and the pup but then he got stupid and told the master that she was already dead.  He left her crumpled body unattended while he took a shower and worse yet his house wasn’t protected so that other supernaturals could enter the home without him knowing.  That’s how she was rescued.  Her little vampire friend was able to shimmer in and shimmer her out to the hospital just in time to save their lives.  Of course that set in motion the next in the series of events.  I have to shake my head at how stupid my master is being.  These people are extremely well prepared and if Lucia gains her powers we have no chance.  I call him.  “Master the future queen is going to shift tonight, her pup was born in wolf form yesterday.  Yes I know the pup came early.  I’m not certain where she is going to shift that is being kept secret from everyone with the exception of her mother and her mate.  Yes sir I know he is not her true mate it is you.  The future king will be killed and you will take his place as her mate.  What about the pup?  Yes sir I understand.  No sir I won’t fail you.”  f**k I have just been ordered to kill a helpless pup.  If I don’t kill him then I will die.  I wonder if I ran away if it would help?  I don’t want to be a part of this mess any longer.  I have grown to really like the future queen and her friends.  They have no idea that one of their servants they hold in high regard is betraying them like this and I don’t want to be there when the figure it out.

Lucia’s POV

It amazes me at how quickly my body has healed after having our little prince yesterday.  If it weren’t for the fact that I am holding the squirming bundle of joy in my arms I would never believe it.  He’s going to share his birthday with his little cousin and I found that very awesome.  Tonight I am going to shift for the first time and we have heard through sources that someone is planning on attacking me while a shift and our son.  I want to rip their throats out for even thinking of hurting my precious baby boy.  Lucas has told me not to worry that only three people know the exact location of where I am going to shift.  I don’t even know where they are going to have me shift for certain.  My mother knows as she is the one that told Lucas where the perfect place would be.  Then of course Lucas and my good friend Vlad.  Vlad is going to shimmer everyone to the location so that we can’t be followed.  But I don’t want to leave my pup alone and to the mercy of whoever wants to kill him.  Lucas has assured me that no less than six of the kings guards will be watching over our pup while we are gone and that once I have shifted and received my powers nobody will be able to touch him again.  I am still unsure about how blessed of a wolf I am and what kinds of powers I will have.  I talked with mother about it and asked her why she didn’t have powers.  She told me that while she was the descendant of blessed wolves, only a few in the line were ever blessed with powers like I was about to be bestowed.  Then she patted me on the arm and said “honey, it is prophecied that you are to be the most blessed and powerful ever in history.  Your father and I knew of this but chose not to inform you until after you had shifted.  You were supposed to shift on your birthday and we all know what happened there.”  I was excited and scared for the shift and what was to become of me after.  I also knew that the battle was going to be long and hard.  That if I didn’t get my powers all would be lost.  Not only would home pack suffer but every pack in the world would suffer as well as all other supernaturals.  I loved our kind and even the rest of the supernaturals.  I loved the human species as well and was told that if our adversaries won this battle they intended to enslave all humans. 

It was a quarter to midnight when Vlad shimmered into my room and smiled at me.  “My lovely Lucia, motherhood looks well on you.”  I looked up at him and just smiled.  “I love him so much already Vlad I can’t believe someone could take ahold of my heart so quickly.”  Vlad looked at me and said “I see from you thoughts that the baby isn’t the only one that has taken ahold of your heart so quickly.”  I blushed and just nodded my head.  Reluctantly I put my baby down in his crib and grabbed Vlad’s hand.  We shimmered away to an unknown location and to my surprise my mother and mate were already there.  Mystic started howling in my mind screaming about how she was going to be able to meet her mate Ranger.  I was nervous because Mystic had told me that she and Ranger were going to have to mate and mark each other tonight for me to get the full powers.  I asked her if I was going to have to mate and mark Lucas for it to be effective and she laughed at me.  My wolf actually laughed at me.  “You silly human, you two have already mated, you just haven’t marked each other.  While marking each other will make you stronger it’s not completely necessary.”  I decided then and there that as soon as Lucas and I were back in our own room we were going to mark one another.  With the upcoming battle and the threat on my entire family I wanted to be as strong as I possibly could.  I was just nervous.  I looked over at my mom and she grabbed my hand.  “It’s time for you to shift honey, take your clothes off it will be easier.  Luckily for you not only am I here to help with this transition but you have your mate.  Wolves that shift for the first time have a lot of pain.”  She chuckled and said “almost like childbirth which in a sense it is a birth.  But with your mate here it will be easier than if he wasn’t.”  I just nodded my head and got out of my clothes.  I was avoiding eye contact with Lucas because even though I had been intimate with Anthony we always did the deed with the lights off.  He never looked at me or my body so having a man looking at my naked form was foreign to me.  Then I felt the first pains of shifting and I lost all sense of thought.

Lucas’s POV

Oh my God was this woman gorgeous.  When she got out of her clothes and I was able to look at her naked form my c**k instantly got hard.  I wanted to march over there and f**k her right now.  Ranger was all excited the horny little fucker was going to get his tonight.  It was explained that the only way that Lucia was going to be able to gain her full powers was if Ranger and Mystic mated and marked one another.  Lucia had agreed that they should do just that.  She wanted to protect her family and the rest of the world from the evil that was coming and said if our wolves mating was what it took for her to get her powers then so be it.  I was jealous of Ranger. He was going to get to be with his mate completely and mark her.  I wanted to mark Lucia and have her mark me.  I wanted the world to know that I belonged to her and she belonged to me but Ranger and I had messed that up when we first met her and I had to earn that privilege.  Then suddenly she crumpled over in pain.  The shifting had started.  I looked at her mother and she said “just come and touch her.  Cradle her head in your lap it will help lessen the pain she is right now.  After this first shift she will be just fine. When she is done shifting then Vlad can shimmer me away from here, you can shift into your wolf and the two of you can get down to business.  That’s just not something a mother needs to see though.”  I chuckled at her last statement and thought it wasn’t something I would want my mother to see either so it was a good thing.  The whole process took what seemed like hours but in reality was only around thirty minutes.  When Lucia had finally shifted and we got to see Mystic for the first time to say we were left breathless would be an understatement.  She was a beautiful white wolf with the purest blue eyes I had ever seen.  She had a black moon on her forehead and a black star on her chest.  But she also had something else.  She had a black crown on her back hip.  That was strange only descendants of the moon goddess herself had that marking.  I looked at her mother and she said “I will explain all to you and her when this is over.  It’s a long story.”  I just shook my head as Vlad shimmered her away and I immediately shifted into Ranger.  Ranger and Mystic spent several hours together running, playing, mating and finally marking one another.  Ranger was in his glory at finally being able to meet his mate.  After they marked we shifted back to our human forms and that’s when Lucia was suddenly encased in a beautiful white light.  She was lifted off the ground and the light seemed to be coming from her body shining out of her I would say.  Then there was a great burst of light and she was lowered back down to the ground.  She looked at me and then we heard another woman speaking behind us.  “It is done now the supernatural world will be safe once again.  Lucia my child I love you. Lucas, you and Ranger take extra care of my girls.  Now I’m going to transport you back to your room.  There is no time to waste your pup is in trouble by someone you trust.”
