The Discussion
King James, Duncan, and Michael were having the most luscious courses of food ever made. Of course, it was because the King was happy to see his long-lost friend after a very long time. He wanted him to remain by his side again so he could protect the castle from some evil beings. But that was not what he wanted to discuss today.
James hoped that Duncan ran into him due to fate again, it was prime time that he would offer something to him, something that would restrict him from being into the castle and bestowing upon him great powers. But he had something else in his mind; the magician waited for so long to get extraordinary students who had potential. He wanted to see Michael inside the school because it would be a dream that comes true for both of them.
They ate the feast. It was a hundred courses of delicious food from all over the world. It was a perfect splendid treat for Duncan. He was grateful for it. Before James said something, the wizard went ahead to cast the most beautiful and charming spell that he had learned in his life- the art of speaking.
"I need to talk about something to you, my lord"
"Hey, drop the "my lord", brother."
It was right. James thought of him as a little brother. They had an emotional and spiritual connection. He knew him for a very long time. He did not want to lose a friend because he lost many of them in action. He would never reject something the sorcerer would have to offer. Duncan went ahead and said:
"James, I will be honest to you. The moment I came into the castle, I felt a charismatic magical aura from a person. We magicians feel them when someone we know can become a magician in the future or have the ability to become one."
James became a little concerned. He turned his face towards Duncan.
"And who is this person that I am unaware of?"
Michael wanted to speak. He was a bit nervous. Duncan spoke instead:
"It is your son. Michael Mullins." The King was surprised for a moment. But he was happy to at the same time. The atmosphere changed. The nervousness on Michael's face also started to disappear. He knows when his father is in a sound mood. Series of discussions started to occur between Michael, Duncan, and the King. They sat and drank and hours after hours, a conclusion was reached. Yes, Michael was getting into the Wizarding School.
Michael and Angela: The continuation
What was the thing that Michael had offered to Angela which would startle her? Michael invited Angela to his portion of the castle to discuss it in detail. They had been friends for some months and he wanted to get serious.
"I think that I want to be in a serious and emotional relationship with you. I want to woo you in the future."
Angela blushed. Her blush reminded Michael of a dream that he saw:
"Michael was wandering around in a desert. It was hot, so hot that the temperature would make him melt and all of his body would be spread to the ground. He was thirsty. He was yearning for only one drop of water. As it was a dream so the places switched instantly. Now Michael saw himself inside a garden full of lovely red roses. The roses had water on them. But only seeing the roses fulfilled his thirst."
The blushing of Angela also fulfilled Michael's thirst for love.
"Yes", said Angela, and they kissed.
Michael's lips touched Angela's. The whole essence of Michael's emotions and love transferred into Angela. It was not just a kiss, it was magic. It was the first time that Michael experienced magic in the form of love. It was their first kiss. This kiss made their escape from the worries of the world. It made their escape from all the pains. It created a layer that protected them. The kiss created a parallel universe for them.
It was the night when they both lost their celibacy to themselves. It was a sweet night. The moon was its fullest. Both of them could see their reflection in the moon, holding each other in their arms. The night was perfect to make love, and they were right to share their bodies and souls.
Michael told his father about Angela and he was delighted to know about her after finding out her background. He wished to make preparations for the engagement but Angela's health started to decline. She had the worst stage disease of that time. The disease was unknown to the doctors and the witches. It seemed that there was no cure.
Michael used to sit by his soul mate's side and took care of her. He did everything he could do. He even got out of his way to pray for her. Angela's last words were: "I will miss you, Michael. I will always love you."
After some weeks, Angela passed away. The passing away of her changed Michael completely. He became an agnostic. His belief in God tampered. He had lost his soul and body. He spoke in the language of poetry. The separateness of Angela made him into a complete poet.
Michael had to do some preparations for entering the magic school which was expected to start enrolling new students in the next month. The King took this opportunity to make Michael go on a magical adventure. It was a kind of adventure that would prepare him to be ready to learn magic. It was a wonderful quest. James ordered Michael to go to a "place" and get "something" for him. The quest would make Michael show his bravery to the king too.
What would be the quest that the King asked him to go for? Will his life change completely? Will Michael find another Angela at the magic school?
All of these questions will be answered to the readers in the next chapter.
