6: A stranger on my land

Dominic I took the hair from her face and my heart ceased, literally pounding so hard, this girl is beautiful and my wolf howled at the sight of her. Her skin was pale. The female was badly injured, blood was oozing from her nose and mouth. My eyes wandered to her stomach where a small brown dagger was embedded. I got up and took a long whiff of the area and a stench of rogues enveloped my nostrils, why were they so close to my border, I growled at the thoughts of those vile creatures near my land. ' Damn it,' I have to punish the guards, didn't they see them, it's not too far. I looked at the immobile female on the ground, she's alive, I can hear the faint pounding of her heart. I wanted those rogues dead for hurting her. Wait for what? " Aah," A whimper escaped her delicate lips. There was something familiar about her. I shook my head and started to turn back but Odom, my wolf protested furiously. ' she's going to die,' he growled and I retorted shrugging my shoulders ' So?' We don't care if she lived or die, it's part of life, people are born while others die, it's the circle of life, my wolf snarled at the statement and growled again. For a while, we fought for dominance but I managed to push him back in my mind. That girl isn't pack nor rogue, she's just a lone wolf, they are just as troublesome as rogues. Lone wolves are not very feral and still have sanity yet have no packs, they prefer to live alone, but most times when they aren't strong enough they can go feral without an anchor, which is a pack in this case. That's why packs are important to a wolf, they help you with sanity, something binds you to your fellow species. I hurriedly left the place, she'll die anyway, she was injured, I better leave her for the wild wolves to feast on, that's noble of me, plus today is that day I killed the man I've called my father for twenty-six years, so I did a good thing to celebrate his death. Odom snorted ' A good thing would be helping that girl,' he reasoned, why is he getting annoyed all the sudden, disgruntled wolf, I snarled but stopped in my tracks and asked a question on my mind. ' is she our mate?' I asked, mates are a wolf's better half, created by the moon goddess to be with them, the bond is special unlike any other. Their pain is yours, s**t like that. 'No,' He was quick to answer, I breathed out, good, I hate mates. They are just a liability, I've seen great alphas die or their pack crumble to dust because of their mates, that's why when I find mine, I'm rejecting her, I won't welcome a weapon that can be used against me. ' Then why are you so adamant on saving her?' I interrogated further. ' Because I hated Geoffrey even in death,' his answer was short, Geoffrey was a menace to society and my father. ' What would he do?' he snarled before I heard his gruff voice. ', tell us to kill her, or leave her for dead,' I nodded and immediately, ran back to the girl, she was grunting lightly and I just stood there, crossing my arms against my chest, wow, she is strong, I thought she will die. Her eyes were slightly ajar, lips parted, her hands clenched on her stomach where the dagger was, it's not silver but it did some damage seeing as she's still bleeding. ' help,' her voice croaked, she moved her legs in pain, and again for the second time in one night, I bent over to remove her long hair from her face, it's very pretty, she had full lips, nice nose, and thick lashes I went closer to her face, our breath mingled and I kissed the stranger in my land, she tasted nothing as I thought. It's muddy, and a mixture of salt? Her small hand clutched mine for a short time, jolting me out of my inner turmoil. I picked her up, she didn't weigh anything at all. Her body is small against mine and I rush to my house. ' Come to my house now,' I ordered the pack doctor through the link, reaching my border, the guards lowered their heads, they stole glances from me but I ignore them, they are probably just curious. I took long strides and soon, I was in the comfort of my home, I lied her on the bed in one of the guest bedrooms just as the doorbell rang, that must be doctor Lawrence, my suspicions were correct as the middle-aged man walked into the room with a briefcase, he bowed to me before he looked at the bed, his face scowled as he got closer to her " That's nasty," he commented. " Just fix her," I said monotone as I walked out. " Fix?" Mumbled Lawrence in confusion before I closed the door behind me. I walked to my room for a cold long shower, some of her blood stuck to me and my eyes were glued on. What could have happened? Why did they attack her? Did she at least fight back? A lot of unnecessary useless questions buzzed in my mind, so annoying! She's not my business, once she's all stitched up, I'm kicking her out from my pack, I felt hands wrap around my torso and my lips quirked into a devious smile, just what I needed, I turned to the female and lifted her In my arms, took my beta long enough to send me one. She smiled at me as I threw her on the bed, I walked to my drawers and took out my handcuffs, I tied her to the bed as I did her legs. Slowly my fingers caressed her gently. She smiled at me as she desperately lick her lips and I hovered over her.
