CHAPTER SEVENTY-THREE

511 Words
Jason was nothing but a plain human who could not even stand the sight of blood, let alone the thought of drinking it. Well, thankfully he had overcome his phobia and tonight was the big night, he would finally get to test his theory. Jason licked his lips, he wanted to go through the house sniffing each corner but he knew he would be distracted and he needed to be focused for the big event. They still had time but he was not taking any chances. The meeting was scheduled by twelve and since it was barely one, it was safe to assume they still had at least two hours before he would need to get ready that gave him more than enough time to roam around but he knew that was not a good idea as he needed to be alert at all time, especially since he was with a lot of buffoons who would not get anything right without him. He walked away from the front door and threw himself on the couch, he might as well get comfortable if they were going to be here for a while. There was no way he would spend that amount of time standing by the door when there were couches scattered around her living room. It was tempting to put on the television but Jason knew he could not. Milo stood not too far from where Jason was sitting and was staring at him like a lost puppy. "Now, what?" Milo asked when it was pretty obvious Jason had no intention of speaking. Jason slowly turned his head in Milo's direction as he resisted the urge to glare at him. He needed Milo to be in top shape and he had found that criticism was not the way to go. "We wait…" He said and then added, "Quietly." It was important to give direct information as Milo was bound to misinterpret it. "Can I sit?" Milo asked. "Sure, just don't upset anything. We don't want her to notice anything until we have overpowered her." Jason explained. Vampires were sensitive, he knew the instant she stepped into the room she would know something was amiss that was if she didn't discover before she opened the door. He was praying that it would not happen. As soon as she stepped into the house through the front door, they needed to jump on her or everything would be for nothing. Considering how she had reacted to the humans he had sent, he knew she had no problems enacting her strength even at the risk of herself. They had to be careful even if she was a female vampire, they were dealing with a vampire's princess here, one slip up and things may turn around against them. Jason relaxed further, he didn't have to start worrying yet, he would do that in another two hours. "Boss," he heard T call him through the speaker. "Yes, T! What's up?" Jason asked T sounded agitated. "She's here," he muttered. "What?" He yelled and jumped on his feet.
