"You're healing nicely" Raiden commented as he stood by the doorway of Aerly's room. It was much grander than her small cabin back at the sanctuary but somehow Aerly had made it home. She sat on the small cushioned stool examining the bruises on her face in the vanity mirror. It was true it had only been two days and the swelling and bruising were going down, the large dark circle that took up around her eye, down her cheek and above her eyebrow while another sat along her jawline all the way to her split lip.
"You don't look so bad yourself" she commented observing the scaring link patterned burns around his neck and wrists even though they were partially hidden by his usual black button-up shirt.
"Is that actually a compliment?" he questioned with narrowed eyes.
"Maybe" she averted he
