A light flashed in the Carter siblings’ eyes when they heard those words.
Emilia couldn’t hold it any longer. She cautioned Nicole in a stern tone, “Hey, little girl, watch your words. If you keep being mean and disrespectful, I’m going to tell your teacher to be harsh on you. We’ll see how tough you are then.”
Wah! Nicole shook with fear when she heard Emilia’s words.
“What happened to you my sweetie, did someone bully you?”
Just then, a high-pitched voice echoed in the classroom, turning every head towards its owner.
A very fat woman hurried to Nicole Watt. She was so furious that steam seemed to be coming out of her ears. She looked to be middle-aged and was dressed in branded clothes and jewelry. She looked like the goddess of wealth herself.
The woman was the mother of Nicole Watt and Bernice Watt. She was here to pick up her daughter after school.
The moment Nicole saw her mother; she pointed at Emilia and cried, “It’s her, Mommy. She bullied me.”
“How dare you hit my daughter, b***h? I’ll beat the s**t out of you!” Bernice Watt roared.
Without giving Emilia any room for explanation, Bernice raised her fleshy arm swinging it towards Emilia.
Emilia wanted to explain herself but Bernice’s demeanor was simply overbearing, to the point of being savage. Bernice Watt appeared to be the kind of woman who would raise her hand on a whim.
Caught off guard, Emilia could not react in time. She closes her eyes expecting the hit.
Nevertheless, it never came, she opened her eyes only to see, Bernice's palm just inches away from her face being held in place by Daniel.
Bernice Watt was surprised by Daniel’s action. Hence, she decided to withdraw her hand. To her surprise, no matter how hard she pulled, twisted, or moved, she could not break free from his grip. Her palm seemed to be frozen in place.
Slap! A crisp sound resounded throughout the classroom. Before everyone realized what was happening, Daniel had released his grip and sent a slap toward Bernice Watt.
The way he did it was as if he was swatting an annoying mosquito. The slap was of great magnitude that it caused her goddess of wealth to look to turn into that of misfortune!
She stared at Daniel with a swollen cheek and reddened eyes, “How dare you slap me in such a manner?” she screeched.
“You deserve this for being a lousy role model towards children. How could you act without uncovering the truth or by asking around?”
The commotion had attracted a lot of attention, which Daniel wanted to avoid; hence, he simply took Emilia’s hand and was about to leave.
Seeing them want to leave, Bernice Watt, Nicole’s mother, recovered from the shock of being slapped. She shrieked hysterically at the retreating figures, “ You have the guts to slap me and leave? You must be tired of living! It is only right I fulfill your wish, just wait and see.!”
With that said, she pulled out her phone and dialed a number.

Outside the school, two passenger vans sat at the entrance.
Several men alighted from each van. Dressed in slick outfits, they immediately surrounded the pair. Their leader was a hulking man with a face that did little to hide his cruel and merciless nature.
He stormed towards the pair and shouted in a dominating tone, “ Who of you idiots bullied my wife and kid?”
“You did well to surround them, honey, they want to leave. Who knew they were such cowards?” Bernice Nyx pointed as she rushed towards her husband.
The man cast a menacing look towards Daniel and his family. “What gave you the right to bully my family? Don’t you know who I am? I am Alex Watt!” he roared.
A terrified look appeared in Emilia’s eyes when she heard the name.
Notorious for his wealth and status, Alex Watt had a ruthless and cruel character as the nephew of one of the kings of the city’s underworld.
This was the reason Nicole could get away with her antics.
Bernice Watt pointed at the pair, “They are the couple who bullied us. I demand you make them compensate me with a hefty sum, or I’ll move out with our daughter, leaving you for good.”
Alex Watt smiled and sneered, “That’s very easy. Boys, take the woman and enjoy yourself,” pointing to Daniel, “Beat him up that he is a step away from death and make sure he watches as you toy with his woman. After you are done throw them into the lake.”
As if Alex’s words were the most beautiful melody to their ears, his wife beamed with delight and Nicole clapped her hands in ecstasy.
Everyone present, including teachers and parents, was watching in horror from a distance. They all felt sorry for Daniel and his family.
Even Emilia was terrified. She rushed to explain but Daniel stopped her before she could say a word. She looked at him with unease.
‘Why would you stop me from explaining? Do you not realize our lives are at stake?’ she thought.
Daniel simply handed Jessica to Emilia and whispered, “Close her eyes. Don’t let her see this.”
Emilia's heart tightened when she heard the words but decided to follow his instructions.
Alex Watt shouted at his men, “What are you waiting for? Move!”
Daniel stepped forward and as he was about to make a move, a voice resounded throughout the crowd.
“There is no need for you to make a move against a bunch of low lives, sir. Let your subordinate do it for you.”
A young and muscular man with a domineering aura clad in a suit walked toward the Carter siblings and stood still in front of them, before saluting.
All eyes were on him.
Daniel nodded at him. To which he charged at the crowd of thugs.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Within a minute, the twenty or so thugs fell to the ground all groaning in pain.
Everyone gasped in awe at the young man’s prowess.
