You're my Mate?

Our new home.

The next morning I woke up to Xander rubbing circles lightly on my back with his left hand while searching for something to watch on Netflix. I smiled and looked up at him with amusement.

"Good morning princess." Xander said while leaning down to kiss me. It was a quick kiss as I let him know I had to use the bathroom. He laughed and let me go. After my morning business, I washed my hand and brushed my teeth. When I was finished, I opened the door to seen that Xander was already up and finishing making the bed. He looked at me and told me to get dressed so we could discuss a few things and then start my packing. I walked into the closet and shut the door behind me so I could change. I chose a green sundress with white flowers on it. I opened the door and walked out. I noticed Xander was in the bathroom. So I sat down on the couch and waited for him. I wanted to try to open a mind link between us now that he marked me but I wasn't sure if he would like that. A few minutes later he came out of the bathroom and sat facing me on the couch. I turned to face him as he started to speak.

"I need you to know that when we arrive at the pack we won't be in a pack house. I have my own house with Max not to far from me so you and Anna will be close. I also want you to know that my sister, Jessica, will be staying with us for a little while. My parents are out of the country, so while they are gone she will be with us."

"Okay but as long as I'm with you, I will be fine." I said with a smile.

"I also want you to know that I will only fully mate with you when you are ready. I will not force anything on you." When he finished I smiled and gave him a quick peck on the lips. I just knew that as soon as we had the chance I would definitely have him complete the mate bond. We discussed when we would leave and my packing. He also informed me that my new TV would be put in our room since he never needed one until now. We decided to head downstairs for breakfast. Afterwards he would finish business with my dad, while I packed. When we got downstairs, I met a couple of the other members of my new pack, Jared and Justin Hinkley. They were twins but not identical. They were the same height but Jared has brown hair, brown eyes and a clean shaven face, while Justin has blonde hair, green eyes and a short beard. We all talked during breakfast and I thought they were pretty cool. I guess since Max and Anna are mates, Jared will be my bodyguard and Justin will be Annas. Anna came and sat by me with a huge grin on her face.

"I'm all packed and ready to go so if you need any help I'm all yours." I turned to look at her and we both noticed each others marks. We giggled at each other and then I noticed her scent had changed a little bit. She smelled like she rolled around in a pile of Max's clothes.

"Thanks I would love the help. Xander has to finish some business up with my dad. Have you met Justin yet?" I asked her as she sat down.

"Yeah he seems nice so we should get along great." I was happy I was going to have someone I knew joining us. I was a little nervous that Xanders family might not like me. Once we finished eating Xander kissed my temple, and headed towards the office. Anna and I headed up to my room with Jared and Justin following behind. I giggled at them and hoped they wouldn't mind helping us. I was already used to the idea of a bodyguard, seeing as my mom usually had Shawn or one of the warriors with her when she wasn't with my dad. When we reached my room there were some boxes and suitcases being dropped off by Max.

"I thought you could use these Mia. Whatever you don't use set off to the side and I will take care of them." He said with a quick kiss to Anna before making his way down to the office. Anna started with my closet while I did the bathroom. The twins moving the boxes and suitcases as we filled and labeled them. With all of us working together it only took two hours to pack everything I wanted to take. Xander came in just as I was going over my closet to make sure we had gotten everything.

"You need any help?" He asked while leaning against the door frame.

"Nope just doing a walkthrough to make sure I have everything." I turned and walked into his arms when I knew everything was packed. We headed downstairs, as I took one last look at the place I called home for 18 years. Jared was almost finished moving my stuff into one of the four vehicles they had. Xander and I would be in one vehicle, and Max and Anna in another. Justin is driving Annas things and Jared mine. Xander said the trip by car was about 5 hours and that we would most likely be stopping for dinner. Anna made up lunch bags for all of us and made sure we had enough snacks for the ride. I stood in front of my parents having mixed feelings about leaving them.

"I'm going to miss you guys. I love you so much." I said trying to hold back tears

"I want you to know that we are always here for you and will always have your back." My mom said while tears streamed down her face. She pulled me into a tight hug.

"Keep your card and phone on you at all times and remember to trust your gut and your pack." My dad was always giving me advice.

"I will call when I'm able to." After saying our goodbyes I got in the car and we drove away. I was sad to leave my parents but I knew that this was what I needed, to be with my mate. We were driving for about 2 hours before having to stop to use the restroom, and for the guys to check their phones. Xander asked if I wanted to switch spots while he delt with the transfer of mine and Anna's cars. I gladly accepted. I loved driving and hoped that Xander would show me his taste in music now that he was in the passenger seat. I found that it took another 20 minutes before he got that figured out. He was frustrated so much at one point that I ended up grabbing his left hand and giving it a light squeeze to calm him down. After that was settled we just talked while I drove. We decided it was time to eat when I looked at the time so we stopped at the nearest diner. It was cute and the food was pretty good. Not as good as Annas but it was still good. It was then that I realized I would be able to put Annas training to good use. For the past year I would ask her to teach me every chance I could to cook. I enjoyed cooking and couldn't wait to cook a meal for Xander. We were soon back on our way and Xander took back the drivers seat. We were almost there when he reached over to give my hand a light squeeze of reassurance. He did the same thing I did for him earlier. I couldn't help the smile I had. We turned left down a dirt road and after ten more minutes of driving we slowed down so Xander could talk to one of the men on patrol. Afterwards we continued down the road a bit before I realized that Jared was the only one following us now.

"Are we almost there?" I asked excitedly while looking out of the window.

"Yes we are beautiful." He chuckled while he answered me. I loved to hear his husky laugh and he made my decision that much easier. I think I'm starting to fall in love with him. 'Girl you better hurry up and tell him. You should also show him.' Kylie said with a seductive yet evil laugh at the end. I was about to say something back but then I noticed my new home. It was a beautiful 3 story with a garage connected to it. It was painted a light blue with a white trim and shutters around the windows. The front porch was a wraparound and had a beautiful wooden table and chair set. Xander opened the front door while Jared waited to unload. When we walked in there was a beautiful woman that looked to be my height or a couple of inches taller. Standing next to Xander I looked shorter then my normal 5'3. She had black hair like Xander but had hazel eyes instead of green. She was looking more excited then I felt.

"Hi I'm Jessica. Please don't be nervous. I was going to try to give you a little bit of time but I couldn't contain my excitement any longer. When Xander said he had finally found you I was jumping for joy." I didn't expect to see someone this happy to meet me. 'Why wouldn't she be happy you are the new Luna.' Kylie chimed in my head. Jessica pulled me into a hug as Jared started to bring everything in. After she released me, Xander took us to the kitchen and grabbed some cups out for us to have some iced tea.

"Well Jessica I'm Mia, and it's really great to meet you. I wasn't expecting this much excitement though." I looked at Xander who was just shaking his head while a smile tugged at his lips.

"Well that's because we've all been waiting six years for you. A pack is never complete without its Luna and let me tell you some of these people need a Luna. Just one thing though. Don't let anything that my friend Chelsea says affect you. She had this huge crush on Xander but he promptly told her no and that he was waiting for his fated mate." I looked at Xander and saw his face change at mention of Chelsea's name.

"Well hopefully she is just hurt and will be able to get over it. We can only give her the benefit of the doubt unless she proves otherwise. Besides I'm not worried. The mate bond is sacred and once we are fully bonded nothing will be able to break it." I didn't want to think that someone would try to break the sacred bond. That was one of the worst crimes to ever commit.

"She won't be a problem and I will make sure of it. I like you Mia and I'm glad Xander found you." She replied with a beaming smile. We talked for a little longer and I learned she was going to be 17 in a couple of months and now a senior in high school. She had met her mate and that was Max's little brother Lucas. He was 19 and he helped train and prepare the young wolves for their first shift. As she was explaining how their relationship worked, I had received a text from my mom. She was just telling me that she loved me and would call in me in the morning. The doorbell rang and it was Anna and Max. Xander went to go get it as Jessica and I listened in.

"There is a problem at the northern border."

"Alright let's go check it out. Anna you are welcome to stay with my sister and Mia. Max link the twins." Xander said sounding annoyed. I wanted to go to him and calm him but now wasn't the time.

"Already done. They should be here in just a few." Max was looking around probably for rogues. They are always a problem with every pack. He was also right the twins showed up and so did a younger version of Max. I instantly knew it was Lucas. He looked almost like Max except he was shorter by a couple of inches and had more muscle tone. He grabbed Jessica's hand and started to drag her upstairs. She was giggling the whole way so I figured he did this often with her. Xander came to me and gave me a hug and quick kiss on the forehead. Then he walked out shutting the door behind him. I couldn't help but worry about him.

"So, want to bake something for when they get back?" Anna asked with a small smile on her face.

"Sure. Hopefully it will keep my mind off of things." Luckily it did. We decided on a chocolate swirl cake with peanut butter frosting. Just as we started the twins came in and let us know that outside was secure. So we continued with the baking. I did the batter and Anna showed me how to make the swirls so I could do it myself next time. An hour and a half later and the cake was done. Just as we were frosting it the Xander and Max walked in the house.

"Is everything okay?" I only asked because Xander and Max looked annoyed more then when they left.

"Two rogue men were spotted just outside the northern border. They had a young woman with them. When she saw patrol along the border she screamed alerting our men. It looks to be a kidnapping." Max said while pulling Anna into a hug.

"When we got there she was hurt and scared. I had her taken to the pack hospital. She looks to be no older then 15 or 16." Xander said sounding very irritated and my need to soothe him took over. I put the frosting down, walked around the island, and grabbed Xanders waist while putting my head on his chest. After a few seconds he relaxed and wrapped his arms around me. He kissed the top of my head and rested his head for a few seconds. When he released me I turned to see Anna finished frosting the cake. She covered it so the frosting wouldn't get ruined and I thanked her. She gave me a hug and waved as her and Max left. He was really upset about this and I was curious about that. I would have to ask him once we were better friends. Xander guided me to our room upstairs and opened the door. It was beautiful and I couldn't stop my mouth from hanging open. There was a huge California King Sized bed with so many pillows. They were all green and black with different designs and i noticed that they matched the comforter that was folded back so neatly. Xander growled under his breath Jessica's name and I let out a giggle. I noticed that on the wall next to the door was my new TV. I ventured into the bathroom and there was a huge Jacuzzi bath and a shower big enough for two. I came back out and went to the closet. My clothes were already taken care of and the boxes of the random stuff I brought were stacked neatly in the storage area. I grabbed a nightgown and changed real quick. When I came back to the room Xander was changed and taking pillows off the bed grumbling to himself. I giggled and earned a look from him. I just shook my head and helped him finish. When we were done we had just the ones were going to use and crawled into bed. He laid on his back while I laid with my head on his chest and one leg over his.

"Would you be willing to speak with the young girl in the morning? I have a feeling she would respond better to you." He asked with concern in his voice.

"Of course. I will help any way that I can." I gave him a kiss and laid my head back down. I fell asleep wondering how the poor girl was feeling.
